> You pour magic energy into the arrow and it becomes significantly brighter, easily illuminating your surroundings. There aren't any visible hostiles that are outdoors with you, so you jog towards the screams in the distance, which are geting louder and louder.

The buildings around you are one story and dome-shaped, but that slowy changes and they become five to ten-story towers, densely populating the area. In the insides of buildings, you can see shapes moving, and occasionally a shadowy, deformed figure would momentarily show itself as you pass an alley or open doorway. It feels like dozens of eyes are watching your every movement and following your footsteps.

> Pulling out a crossbow bolt, you spot a white blur in the back of the room and hyper-accelerate the bolt with kinetic force.

The bolt smashes through furniture it its way, but the blur moves out of sight and you're not sure if you landed the hit or not. Mist fires off a lightning bolt and Aucupe a fireball as well.

Aucupe: "Got 'em."

Conditions :
- Moderate Bruising (-3 Physical actions)
- Whirlwind Armor (+2 Physical Actions)

> Something seems to be injuring the bat creatures flying around the towers.

They are weak to light.

Now in complete darkness, you here even more shrieks, all of them getting louder and louder. The dragon takes a sudden descent and goes through numerous aeronautical maneuvers while you hold on tight.

After several more twists and turns, the dragon flies into what sounds like the inside of a building and lands roughly on the ground. A screeching creature scrabbles towards you, and you feel the Black Dragon surge forward, hear the sound of bones being crushed and flesh being torn, and retreats, letting out a deep roar.

Time to fight.

> Pulling out your only Lightning tag, you spot a white blur moving around near the back of the room. After John throws something fast at it, you charge the tag and fire off a lightning bolt, striking the thing and kncoking it down. Aucupe follows up with another fireball, which engulfs the entity in flames.

Aucupe: "Got 'em."

Conditions :
- Cut Left Foot (-2 Left Foot actions)
- Bruising (-2 Physical actions)

> Good thing I know now, I suppose.

"It was inevitable that they find us anyway. Let's move!"

The two of you quickly run towards the city's center, with the uninjured corrupted backing off. Side-by-side, you dash down the streets, turning only when needed to get around an obstruction. The cries in the distance increase in frequency until they become a continious, chaotic melody of shrieks.

Koa: "Damn, what has Gustaf gotten hi-"

Koa slams forward into the ground as something lands on her from above. Planting your feet to stop yourself, you slide ahead several feet before managing to come to a halt and turn around.

A creature that looks like a human with lengthened, clawed limbs and an abnormally large jaw has Koa pinned to the ground, furiously swiping at her back and shredding her cloak.

Leaping forward, you swing your longsword and strike the monster in the head with the blunt side of your blade hard enough that the thing is thrown back with the satisfying sound of bone breaking. Your ears pick up more sounds ocming from above, and snapping your head up, two similar creatures revealed by Koa's light are right about to land on you.

Stepping to one side, you hack a creature in half and let it fall where you were just standing, and then lift your blade into the air to gut the other as it passes overhead and lands near its partner.

> "Well, we either go through here, or head back and risk getting caught by... whatever those things were. I don't know how much safer we will be if we enter here though. It's your call."

You take a moment to rest, finding some peace in the absolute darkness.

Feiar: "... I guess there isn't any other way to go. We could try going east to Luttiim, the closest city to here."

> You continue your trek toawrds the center of the city. Hearing a sound behind you, you whip around and, spotting a figure, release your arrow. It embeds itself into a short bat-creature that lets out a scream before running off into an ally.

Generating another arrow in your bow, you face to the front as a blur moves behind a building. The screeches coming from near the city's center make it hard to hear sounds near you, but you can feel someone watching you from somewhere.

Then, something crashes into you from the side out of nowhere, knocking you to the ground. Whatever it is throws itself onto you and starts pummeling you with powerful strikes.

Conditions :

> Trudging around to find a better angle of attack, you get a clear view of the creature writhing in a plume of fire and launch an Eisen Meteor at the thing. A shattering sound is heard, while Aucupe hits it with on more fireball for good measure.

Mist: "Woo, teamwork!"

Mist walks over to the creature to get a better look. It's still on fire, providing light for the surrounding area.

Conditions :
- Moderate Bruising (-2 Physical actions)
- Whirlwind Armor (+2 Physical Actions)

> You give Firebrand as much energy as you can without over-charging it and command it to release more light than heat.

With your sword beaming bright light, you see the Black Dragon standing by your right side, with a large bat-like creature lying on the ground in front of it with various limbs torn or twisted in painful looking angles. The area you're in looks like inside of a building, but two ceilings that would form the floors of the two stories above are gone, forming a chamber-like area. The wall on your floor leading to outside is completely destroyed.

All of the screeches coming from outside blot out Echo Helm's ability to detect, but with your light you can see fine. The bat creatures seem to have a great dislike towards the brightness and stay out of sight.

> John moves around a bit before launching a metal bolt at the creature with magic, with Aucupe following up with one more fire blast.

"Woo, teamwork!"

You walk over to the creature and take a look at it. It's a black, charred skeleton right now and still on fire, so nothing exactly noteworthy of the specimen at this point. However, it its right hand is a longsword (or some sort of sword around that size) with a pure white blade and a hilt decorated with golden wiring and a single crimson ruby over the crossguard.

Conditions :
- Cut Left Foot (-2 Left Foot actions)
- Bruising (-1 Physical actions)

> "Are you all right!? We need to keep moving!"

Koa: "Yeah, I'm fine."

You help Koa to her feet with one hand, while your other holds your Longsword ready. It's hard to pick up sounds that are coming from around you, due to the distant screeches masking light noises.

Koa gets to her feet, leaving her shredded robe on the ground. Her armor is perfectly intact however, with only a few scratches on the back.

Koa: "They're everywhere. We need to get inside a building. Running through the streets like this isn't going to work."

> "Hopefully we'll be able to find some help there, right?"

You head off to the east towards the city.

"There is... one other thing that's been on my mind for awhile. How did you end up down there in that chamber before I found you?"

Feiar: "I was playing outside near my school when the city alarm was raised. A small meteor or something, I don't know, hit the city, and then there was an explosion. Humans, chirop and lupus started falling over or they went crazy and attacked each other. I was with my friends and we went into the sewers to run away, but there were crazies down there, too. They got them... Got them all. I ran faster then all of them, and then I tripped over something and hurt my foot and I still ran. When I couldn't hear anyone or anything, I picked a random place to sit down and wait for... I don't know..."

Use my air bending abilities to shove unknown creature off self if traditional pushing doesnt work.
