Another scream sounds, and a dark shape falls out of the sky from the center of the fiery explosion.
The arrow in your Luminous Bow creates enough light to see a few feet around you of cobblestone road and small dome-shaped structures, but nothing more than that.

Near the back of the room, you can see the white-armored figure darting around in and out of shadows, while in a newly lit area far to the right of the crater, a spiky white ball uncurls and stands up into the shape of an Aucupe.

Steady for a second. I think I can take him out.You charge up Firebrand, creating a small bubble of light around you and the dragon, and the dragon takes a second to stabilize itself.
With Heaven's Blessing, Echo Helm scans a large area around you and picks up the massive bat-winged creature steadily zooming towards you from above.
Swinging Firebrand in a quick horizantal slash, a large fireball flares to life and flies out, crashing into your target. The creature is enveloped in a blanket of fire and screams once before plummeting out of the sky and crashing into an empty street below.
As the Black Dragon continues towards the city's center at a low altitude, you hear more distant screams ahead in the dark.

"I'll make some."A small ball of white light pops into life beside you, with Koa holding it above her only hand.

"I'm guessing Gustaf encountered something that the other corrupted don't like. We'd best use this to our advantage to cover as much ground as we can while they're cowering."Now that you can finally see, you take a quick look around. It doesn't look too different from the village where you woke up, only that the buildings are denser and more numerous. The light reaches partially through several round windows, and you can see shadows shifting around.
