"Hey! Where are you going!?"You trek on alone, making wonderful progress away from whoever those guys are. After several minutes of walking through a grassy plain, you bump into a building or something. There are shuffling sounds coming from inside.

> You walk towards the center of the armory and Mist appears out of the darkness, following behind you along with Aucupe. Slinging Whirlwind on your back and grabbing a long pole of wood that looks like it used to have a halberd on the end, you note the rows and rows of shelves in front of you. Looks like you've got some work to do.
Depending on how things go, we may end up lighting this whole armory on fire to kill this beasty. Wondering if Lucida could survive that. I know it can use some kind of Dark magic though...Whirlwind:
"Lucida would survive, yes."Taking a step into the shelves, a light flares out ahead and blinds you, and an explosion sends you flying into the wall way behind you.
As your vision clears, you see that the spot where you were standing ahead is a smoking, glowing crater, with Mist lying not too far away from it. Holding your hands up, what's left of your wooden pole is a pile of ashes spilling out of your hand, and your fireball spell has dissipated. The front of Whirlwind Armor is also noticeably glowing, but quickly cooling back to normal temperature.
Whirlwind:
"Um, yeah. Watch out?"Aucupe isn't in sight. Not that you can see very well without your fireball, anyways.

Gah. It'll be too dark to see anything soon. Let's get lower. Maybe we can inch towards the center of town without drawing too much attention if we wait for night.Total darkness hits, and you can feel the dragon descending slowly and gliding back towards the center of the city at an easy pace. Then, Echo Helm picks up a signal somewhere far off, a sound wave that normally only the helm uses. The area below momentarily is displayed to you through the helm, showing shapes scurrying into the array of buildings. Aiming Echo Helm's vision towards the city again, you briefly spot a winged shape hanging in the air far off, in the same direction that the sound wave came from. The echo dies off, and darkness takes hold again.

> You follow John as he heads towards the edge of the array of shelves that make up the middle of the room. Suddenly, there's a blinding flash of light and a deafening boom, and what feels like a wall of iron slams into you, slamming you back and dropping you onto the floor.
Looking up painfully, you see that there's a large, glowing crater where John was standing. Aucupe isn't anywhere in sight.

"Deiimor, Kyros."With the sun now set, the cloudy sky above casts a blinding shadow on the landscape. You can barely make out the silhouettes of everyone, but you notice Cihas walking off on his own towards the city's center.
Ettiin:
"Hey! Where are you going!?"Both your group and Ettiin's stand there for several seconds, waiting to see if the out-of-sight human would return, but he doesn't.
Ettiin:
"I guess it's two pairs and a loner. We'll try to meet up at the city's capital building, good luck."You hear Ettiin and Hakua head off, and then nod to Koa... Not that she can see you very well anyways.
Kyros:
"The southern route is ours, then."Koa:
"Mmm."Taking the lead, you head towards the city in a south-west direction with Koa right on your heels to keep from being lost.
For a while, it seems like you're just walking on an endless grassy plain, but eventually your feet hit a stone road. From the sound of your foot striking the surface, you can tell that there are structures right in front of you.
Something else moves in the darkness ahead, and both you and Koa freeze.
