"When I woke up not a day ago, all I managed to learn about my past was the fact that I also was once a mage in the hastae, before some event caused my memory loss, forcing them to discharge me. And now, I've lost my memory a second time, for no clear reason. I'm guessing that I was a resident of that city I awoke in, whichever one it was... I remember dome-shaped stone houses... and it was not a very long distance from Nullam. I wish now that I had asked its name - I may head back there to look for more information."

Turning to Mist, you see him fire a red electric-like bolt into the sky. Looks like your party's armed and ready to fight basement monsters.

The gate to the city is closed, and you can't make out anything past it from this distance, but you're picking up moving things in the trees around the gate.

You step away at the party and face a stretch of road. Pouring energy into the staff, you give it a swing. Nothing happens.

Dumping more energy into the thing, the orb on top starts to glow, but nothing happens when you flail the weapon out again. Trying a different approach, you attempt to control the energy within the staff, trying to see if you can nudge it.

The result is a red bolt that shoots in the direction that the staff is pointing, which happens to be up. The beam is only visible for a fraction of a second, and vanishes.

The party comes to a halt. The towers of Luttiim can be seen in the distance, and the entirety of it is surrounded by a stone wall. Down the road you're on, a gate sits, tightly closed. Trees obscure the area all along the road, so you can't see anything else.

Hakua: "What is it?"

There is no stomach, and all of the organs are missing. The head of the corpse is severed from the spine, hanging on to the rest of the body by a small flap of skin.

Feiar: "... It looks like something was EATING her..."

Feiar wraps her arms around herself, simply standing there.

Charge my Longsword with kinetic energy kind of like I do with Power Flow, then jam it into the ground, transferring the energy into an underground wave of destruction that blasts the earth apart as it surges forward.


If whatever appears is not OBVIOUSLY aggressive, do not attack.

Mist: "This is good, I like this."

Mist and Aucupe head into the armory, and you turn to the suit of armor.

"Hey, uh, we're gonna go fight a monster in the basement of this armory, there's a very real chance it's going to light on fire or explode."

The armor looks at you for a second before crouching down to pick up Elizabeth, and then turns around to take her further away from you and the armory. It puts her down against another building in the same position, and faces you, giving you an implied "Okay."

You draw Firebrand, and continue scanning the area, trying to figure out if the targets are hostile or not. Echo Helm picks up something moving rapidly through the trees to the left, towards you, and a large, dark shape leaps out of the foilage.

The thing slams into the ground a foot away from you and Ettiin lands behind it, whipping out her greatsword with a flourish. Another shape leaps at Ettiin, and she easily slices it in half diagonally, with the two halves seperating and landing behind her.

Shaking your head to clear the surprise, you see that the creatures are like massive wolves, each larger than a man, with strange mutations.

Ettiin raises her right foot and stomps into the ground, creating a boom and breaking the earth. The miniature quake nearly throws you off balance.

Ettiin: "COME ON!"

In the forest ahead of her, you can see two more wolves crouching behind the leafy screens.

You draw your Longsword in your right hand and Giibi's shortsword in your left.

A large, dark shape leaps out of the trees to the left towards Gustaf, and Ettiin leaps towards it with blinding speed and smashes her fist into the thing, sending it crashing into the ground.

Landing lightly on the ground ahead of it, she whips out her greatsword and slices another leaping shape coming from the same direction in half.

Hearing a rustle to your right, you quickly turn around and spot a massive wolf-like creature running towards Koa.

Charging your Longsword with kinetic force, you jam the weapon in the ground and direct the energy towards the creature.

The ground explodes in a line towards the wolf, and the monster is thrown into the air, pauses for a moment, and then hits the ground with a thump.

A tremor in the ground nearly unbalances you, and all the trees in the area shake.

Ettiin: "COME ON!"

Looking in Ettiin's direction, you see her facing the trees in a sturdy stance, the ground around her broken and cracked.

Hakua, Koa, and Gustaf seem to be in a state of momentary shock, though two of them have their weapons drawn.
