Also, my pvc bow exploded on me yesterday, catastrophic limb failure, got smacked with a nice big piece of pvc. RIP.

Are they scanned or drawn on a tablet? Also I don't suppose you run a webcomic or anything

Was it due to a flaw in the material/design, or is pvc a bad material choice for bows?

I got a set of extension tubes yesterday and did some simple editing on my sister's eye to get this, I'm really impressed with the focus so far.

I like it dude. What kind of editing did you do exactly?

Put a black and white mask on it and erased it around the iris for the color, and that is the true color of her eye too!

Probably doesn't help with your actual edit, but she has a really pretty iris. It's like a circular waterfall flowing into a bottomless hole (pupil). I feel like it could be inspiration for a painting or something.

Wow, that looks great, Mackerel, but I think that with all those clouds and space theme it would be better with everything as black and white. Maybe it's just me.

That's really cool, except that one really tall cloud gets close to the focus point and messes with the composition a bit. Just looks a bit funny to me.

The rest of the comp was very yellow, and it does counter the nice blue iris, so gray scale it was made.

Emogotsaone, do you have the original in a larger resolution? It'd make a neat wallpaper.

@Cavecricket: What happened was one of the limbs was bending too much so I reheated it to reshape it so it would bend more like the other limb, but I kept having to reheat it over and over, I assume all the constant reheating made the plastic very brittle, it started to get very small stress fractures after some use and then boom. As long as you don't burn or overheat PVC it should make a great bow material, normally, if a PVC bow were to fail it would simply buckle in on itself which is pretty harmless.

Dudeabides: No, no webcomic or anything of that sort, although it is a sort of a goal of mine to illustrate some sort of story.
