If you do them wrong, then sure. But any exercise can be painful if you do it wrong. If you just want to warm up and not actually stretch your muscles, go easy on yourself. You should be waking up your body, saying "Hey let's work out!", not immediately starting a work out.

I don't really have many ties here on Earth, and I can stand isolation in one indoor environment away from the sun for a long time.
