It looks far too much like a Hind. Don't like. Also, I liked the fact that the pelican didn't need dinky little midget thrusters to stop itself smooshing into the ground. I hope they bring back the old Peli'.
Also, is there a fix for the randomly rotating drop pods in mid flight? It's annoying, I called in a drop storm of odst's, the first one's pod rolled in front of his buddies, he jumped out and was immediately flattened by his mate's.

The random rotation was an extra bit I put in, but I haven't feedback on it so I wasn't sure if people liked it or not. There is a way to get rid of it, which in Pod.lua.
Open it, and just delete the lines with Angular Velocity, or change the numbers to 0,0, so there isn't any spin when the pod comes in.
Future advice though, ODST droppods can still accidently kill stuff, so put a couple into enemy lines, and 1 or two behind if you're looking for shock value. Smaller chance of death, and the guys behind the lines are insta-flankers.

Guess ODST's were never all meant to make it through. Is there a way of reducing it so its minimal?
EDIT- I do intentionally drop them on top of people anyway. Ver...ver deadly >:)

The amount of spin I put on it is as little as the numbers allow, unless they allow non integers, so it either comes in straight, or spinning a bit to the right or left

Nice pelican, although I do, (sorry) kind of hope Andy uses the Halo 1-2-3-ODST-Reach pelican, as I REALLY don't like the Halo 4 one.

You probably don't like it because it looks more generic than it does sci-fi. It looks like a Hind meets a Harrier kind of deal.
Still, I can't say I dislike it.

Yeah, I loved the original pelican too, which kind of set me against the new design. My favourite vehicle of any film or game, and now it's been reduced to a Hind :C

Its beautiful Izak, I am using this most definitely (or at least a slightly modified version)! Indeed, the Halo 4 one looks more modern and realistic imo and lost its sci-fi touch.
Thanks Izak, I will be using this one for testing and some pics can be expected by next year. If you'd let me, could I slightly modify the Pelican sprite by the time I release it with just a few texture touch ups? (I also have to make the ramp)

Just a small question, you know these grenades which make kind of a small field which withstands damage, right? It was seen in the Trailer. Could be included, but im not giving you extra work, just a request.
By the way, the Pelican really looks like a Hind. A big,fat one.

You mean Forerunner Pulse grenades? You know, I might as well make the 3 different grenades and put them in the explosives section, it'll be a while before I can work on a sister faction.

Looks rather squashed and small to me. Seems like it should be longer compared to its height, and just... bigger, overall.

it might have to be a bit longer i guess. I'll try stuff out, im almost done with the coding and tweaking part of the pelican, only thing left is the sprites.

(I also have to make the ramp) If you are wondering what the object on the lower right is, it's the ramp. Just a heads up. The whole image looks a bit rushed and for good reason, I did it free hand using one reference. I recommend starting with the side of the nose of the vehicle to make it more pointed. I think I did an okay job with the wings, as it was more difficult to make it look like it actually had aircraft wings. I actually like the cockpit shielding, it looks nice to me. But the top part was mostly a filler as I got a bit of the sizing wrong. Also, here is a larger version to save you some time:
