Now for the Q & A *Updated*: Q: This caused my favorite <insert thing here> to give me errors!
A: Because of just how much is changed, finding out what the problem could be is either very simple OR makes no sense. As I've come to learn.

Q: Are there any bugs?
A: Ummm, well I don't know if they could really be considered bugs or simply side effects of how much is changed with the mod itself. However, everything changed can be unchanged it just takes a load of troubleshooting. Which is all I did to get it to work.
Q: OMG! IT BROKE MY <X> FACTION!!!!
A: Again, you can UNbreak anything it breaks, you just need to go through all of the ini's files and cross reference any values that are input.

Re: Brutality Mod Compatibility Patch For Ver. 1.05
Oh I forgot, there is ONE issue, for some odd reason you get some SERIOUS slow down on the provided scenes and I'm unsure as to what is causing this. If anyone could look into this for me I would appreciate it. The game will just slow down on one of the assault maps really bad. It's map dependent though, some maps are relatively smooth, but mostly all get the slow down.
However, all of the weapons work as far as I can tell. I will experiment with returning most of the original scenes to functioning order myself. This is all made even more difficult due to the fact that I'm unsure exactly what Crow modified to get his desired effects for his mod. But I'll figure it out in time...
EDT UPDATE:
Okay, I'm somewhat confused, something is making the game slow down down when it didn't before. Anyone have any ideas? The relation to slow down is the amount of actors on screen. Before I could have maybe 30 or so actors before horrendous slow down. Now it's only around 5-10 which is abnormal. So I'm unsure as to what Crow could have possibly changed that would give the latest build any issue. I was thinking it could be the way the actors.ini changed, or the new actors themselves, but the slow down occurs with even new actors made for 1.0+..
So he must have changed something in the way scenes are handling actors, or the way the game handles scenes themselves.
Anyone have any ideas? perhaps its a simple fix, but I am unsure.FIXED

After downloading and installing both the Brutality mod and this patch, when i play for a few minutes, the game all at once slows down to a crawl. It seems that no one else has experienced these issues. Any suggestions?

Yep, clean install. The lag usually kicks in when a few more actors are deployed, but when i kill them all the lag continues.

You installed it wrong.
New version up, I fixed a few things I didn't feel were necessary to change as well as bringing back the coalition turret. Remember to fiddle with all of this yourselves.

Nope thats uhh... part of the sacrifice... Well you COULD try editing the bmps that were changed in the GUI folder. But honestly? Half the changes don't even make sense, and the other half makes sense.
It's easy to bring the GUI back, simply re-overwrite the files with the old GUI files. But you'll miss out on some of the gritty feeling. Loss of a UI, yeah, hard core combat, insane man. insane.

Wow, don't need to get so... nervous. I just need a change log, because I don't know if the version I have is the V3 or if it's an older one. You would save time from lots of people doing this.

Regardless, any changes you can make yourself, as
1. I told you to experiment in the read me.
2. The purpose of this patch, is to make one mod more compatible with the current version of the game, I.E. get it to work. Which I have done. Which anyone could do, and which is why this project is open source, which was redundant as all mods released on these forums are open source regardless.
3. If you had the previous zip version, it had this qualifier labeled on it "V2". If you downloaded "V3" you would realize that it is the most up to date compatibility patch that I've personally released. Based on my work in making Brutality Mod compatible with Cortex Command Version 1.05.
