In dummy assault, the RETARDS go after MY brain! It didn't use to happen like this back in b27 and 1.0. Using the latest version of RETARDS.

Someone, allow me to troubleShoot your problems. (That was somewhat of a pun.)
Where did you order them from?
If you ordered them from a deployer and scuttled it, they went rogue because they weren't deployed correctly.
If you deployed them by foot, and you had multiple ones and threw them down willy nilly, they went rogue because they weren't deployed correctly.

Don't know what you're referring to. They've always just used brain hunt.

Press ~, look for lua errors.

Do the attacking RETARDS have green eyes?

Also, delete your previous version of RETARDS before installing the new one. I doubt this is the cause, but it's possible.

okay so if it never existed could you make a "hunter killer" mode?


basically they'd wander around the map looking for enemies, then kill them. rinse and repeat till the retard is dead.

...oh. Can you tell me the different ways of deploying them correctly without getting all of them pissed? What about ordering craploads of the throwable ones and just using orbital teleportation (Crobotech) to deploy them?

The only ways to deploy them properly are as follows
With an actor, just throw it. If you have multiple, scroll through them all then throw them.
From the drop crates already put in the mod
With derployer, don't scuttle it, use it normally.

It's a shortcoming of how teams are determined. It has to be 'thrown' by either a craft or an actor, it can't be gibbed from an inventory (which is what the teleporter does). When you order a craft, the items inside only exist as refrences. They aren't instantiated untill they actually appear on screen. When something gibs, it no longer exists, and its gibs have no way to refrence it, so there's no way to determine a team. The best solution I could think of is to make them default to team -1, which essentially means kill everything but each other.

Seems simple enough. I could just set goto waypoints across all enemy positions and update it every 10 seconds or so.

No promises though, development has resumed stagnation.

You're welcome to try yourself though, seeing as the source is all there.

it could just be like an extended patrol mode.


it would be really awesome though if you could drop down a couple deployers and they'd clear out an area automatically.

I have to report that installing this mod made my game unstable as all hell.
Crashes pretty much any time I try to start a skirmish or something,crashes when I try to restart an activity,crashes when trying to play Tartarus,crashes,crashes,crashes.

Such a shame,it's such a great mod.
