Re: Post Your Desktop II (humorous phrase here) Because I had to format my computer and I didn't have any other OS available. Buying another one would only delay it, plus, this computer is almost useless, so it wouldn't be smart to spend more money on it.

But windows XP hasn't given me any problems, and I'm being much more careful on what I do.

Re: Post Your Desktop II (humorous phrase here) Asklar, if your current operating system is working fine for you, then don't get a new one, plain and simple, unless you have excess amounts of money or NEED a new OS then I don't think you need a new one, I'm running vista perfectly fine.

Cons: Unable to keep up with DivX standards for video game capabilities 7: Pros: Developers are given a whole new guideline of program accomplishments.
Cons: Twin relations to Vista, only more successful. 8: Pros: Tablet and Microsoft phones expanding market.
Cons: Why the ♥♥♥♥ would you want this as a desktop.
Basically a computer that isn't backwards compatible with previous programs.

Re: Post Your Desktop II (humorous phrase here) Windows 7 is the OS that software designers aim for, so in terms of compatibility with modern software it's a wise decision. If you want something faster or have lower specs, I'd actually advise going for a Linux distro.

I'm not sure if it would work in this computer, since Dell doesn't have the drivers for this computer for Windows 7, only for Vista and XP.
And you know, I was not going to install Vista.
