Re: Art Dump
that is one bald chainmail wearing dude right there
Also my face when you said sketches. How long have you been at this art business again? Because even your sketches are almost photographic in quality. If you aren't a professional already, then by every applicable god and natural phenomenon YOU SHOULD BE.
i would post a doodle of starkly contrasting quality but i don't have one ready right now so yeah enjoy max's work

Re: Art Dump
Lol, wow thanks Shook I'm pleased to hear that. I've been drawing since about 2008, no formal schooling. Just one day opened MS Paint and went at it. Anyway, should have some more heads to show in a few days, trying to do them daily.

Re: Art Dump
FOUR YEARS ONLY FOUR YEARS ... ........... How inspirational and jellifying! I started actually spriting exactly at October 27th 2008 (the day where i was hammered with the STOP PILLOW SHADING hammer, i consider everything before that to be condensed failure), which is also four years ago, hence they jellifying part. Then again, i suppose i haven't exactly been all that diligent with my practice. That, and it's a fairly recent thing that i started drawing on a macroscopic scale. I don't have that dated, though. :U (also the fact that i'm drawing with a mouse using my off hand might be a factor too, but if my pencil drawings are anything to go by, i actually draw better this way, which is totally weird) also because this is an arty thread i'll have you know that i've begun the painstaking process of colouring EL PUÑO DE LA JUSTICIO NOW FOR THE SHADING

He's colorblind so he just picks them all over.

Hey metal wasn't it yellow/green blindness? I was honestly going to say something on how nothing you just said made you not look like a terrible person. I think I'm going to wait and see what Chao thinks, though, because it's probably going to be much, much funnier.

I wonder how I would react to being colorblind.

You'd probably look at colors in a different way.

Re: Art Dump
For the base colours I just cheat Highlights I just learned to do with maths instead of by eye Shifting the hue up or down by 3-5 points and the luminosity by somewhere between 10 and 20 is usually sufficient, if that doesn't look right I tinker with the saturation a bit too but as you can already probably tell I like that as high as possible. I'm not sure colourblindness is reproducible in a fully-grown human man because as far as I'm aware I have the same number of rods and cones in my eyes, just different ones. They can't just pull some of them out and reduce your perception of the spectrum. It would be an interesting experiment if they could though. And I'm pretty sure yellow/green colourblindness isn't a thing. There's four kinds of red/green colourblindness and one for blue/yellow. I'm one of the more common ones, surprisingly enough.

Re: Art Dump
You should move the hues more the darker they are, since the darker a color is the less effect hue has on it.

Re: Art Dump
Either the hue or the saturation yeah (usually lower saturation, in the case of a dark colour )
