The first week was pain, for me, but that varies. I hade some pretty grave Emmetropia and that slowed the healing ALOT, normal is about 1 month for good eye sight, and about 3 days of gravel in your eyes.

Then the eyesight varies for about 6 months, you can have perfect sight one day and bad the next and so on.

Also the sun is your enemy for 1 year, stings like a ♥♥♥♥♥.

I'd recommend the the treatment, I've had glasses for 20years all the time and the freedom to be able to dive your head straight down face first in to a pillow is just awesome - and never have grease marks in the way or such, Ghaah! Damn, I wish I'd done it even sooner.

I've worn glasses since I was three, I honestly think I'd feel odd not wearing them now and I'm pretty happy not to have stuff poked into my eyes.

This. I've tried contacts, I missed the weight of my glasses and they were much more trouble than they were worth anyway ("OH GOD IT SLIPPED BEHIND MY EYE ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ OW OW ♥♥♥♥"). And laser eye surgery, ehh, maybe, but I'd sorta still want to have glasses, just for the familiarity. Also christ that is a LOT of money, especially since my vision isn't that bad and I kinda like having glasses.

At one point, I was used to the weight of glasses. Then there was a long period of not using any glasses.
Nowadays I only really need them in class. Bad vision doesn't really bother me when it's only the right eye.

I'm so used to wearing glasses that I try to push them up on my face out of habit even when I'm not wearing them, though I have them on almost all the time I'm awake.

I reckon it's kind of the same thing as having braces on your teeth, except that you can easily remove glasses. After having had braces for a couple of years, getting them off was like "man it feels weird to NOT have those pesky things on my teeth". Got used to it pretty quickly, though. :U

also i don't need glasses at all so huzzah for that

I do have mild tinnitus though. It's fortunately not enough to disrupt my sleep or anything like that, but it's still annoying when i start thinking about it (which i don't do a lot). Allow me to write down what it says:

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

now keep that going for 15 years at a low volume and high pitch

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to those with severe tinnitus.

Oh are we doing poetry? I'm great at terrible mock-emo poetry!

What could be blacker than coal? That's right, my heart after you broke up with me.

Your smile is brighter than the sun, it really hurts my eyes.

EDIT: Oh that was a few pages ago. Well, I have glasses. I think that's topical?

Have you ever seen the kind of glasses they give three year olds though
Imagine the punishment those things go through

They were like three inches thick of plastic

Most people in my family wear glasses; though I don't. Sometimes, I think I should, but I don't really want to bother with getting glasses.

Okay, I laughed at that.

Should I go to the doctor?

Well, I've only had a surgery once, and it was the nut torsion one. They gave me that anesthetics that is put on your spine and numbs the lower part of your body (can't tell the name in english).

♥♥♥♥ it, it was the worst sensation ever. Worst night I've had in my life.
