Woooow, that Titan is looking so good!

Titans are pure violence :D!

In an unrelated note, my sister's boyfriend is going to order things from the US, and I'm trying to convince him to buy me some Fire Warriors. In that way, I'll get them 20% or 25% cheaper than getting them here :D!

It arrived!

So, I'm nervous. Which colors should I pick? Should I give them grenades? Or the drone controller? The drones should be normal or shield drones? Paint first or assemble first? Sha's Ui? EMP Grenades? Photon Grenades? Markerlight?

Oh gawddddddd

There are some pretty cool colour schemes in the how to paint tanks book, I'll snap a pic later.

Also, gun drones, gun drones every day!

Take a look in the codex and pick a sept with a pretty paint scheme
Vior'la is my personal preference
Despite that I cannot be bothered to build my Tau...

shitty pic, but you'll live with it. I really love the second from the right, simple yet striking.

That one looks very cool indeed. I've been thinking on using color green, but still can't decide though.

I know I wouldn't use red, this dudes need to use something not as striking (striking as in clown colors).
Hmm...

Vior'la and Au'taal are indeed really awesome, I think the green vehicle I showed is the Vior'la vehicle scheme.

I was thinking on coming up with my own color scheme using Dawn of War and then getting colors that look alike.

Awweeeesssoooomeeeeee

Also, I read somewhere that after the "The Hobbit" jazz, game workshop would bring out the new codex for Tau. I hope it's true, because I haven't bought the tau codex and just been reading a friend's one, I'd rather wait till the new one is released.

Dumping some really sharp yet over lit cell phone photos of tonight's work:
Image
Marine armed with incinerator, to flesh out my grey knight squads.
Image
Count as Lemartes for my blood angels allies(mastercrafted power weapon, feel no pain, bolt pistol, jump pack/teleporter=count as)

Bonus points if you can guess all the kits required to built those two guys.
Extra pic, to give you an idea of forgeworld "quality".

Heh, and forgeworld stuff is pretty expensive.

I've been thinking on painting my Fire Warriors in colors like the some of the ones shown in the codex, something like Sa'cea, Ke'lshan, Bork'an or Vior'la, maybe some sort of combination. I like the usage of blue/gray/green, specially those green-gray and blue-gray like colors.

I kinda want them to have like an "urban camo" scheme, I don't know, I was fooling around inventing a back story for my sept. It went something like we conquered some planets that were under influence of the Imperium, therefore being full of buildings and heavy industries. The Imperium wanted those planets back, so they striked the sept's HQ world with large numbers of soldiers. To counter, the sept used ambushing tactics, taking stealth and mobility to their advantage, favoring the usage of stealth suits, fire warriors and pathfinders. The planet was succesfully defended and Imperium invasions began to slow down until finally coming to an end, bringing a period of peace in which the Earth caste and Water caste started populating the colony, allowing to produce better equipment like Crisis suits and Hammerhead gunships, though at a very slow pace.

Currently, invasions are slowly regaining strength, forcing the sept to create complex defenses systems, ranging from simple ambushes and traps to huge Ion cannons to help defending against orbital landings.

So, TL;DR: Urban combat with stealthy/ambushing tactics. Cyber-punk-ish grimdark world.

What do you guys think of this color schemes?

I know I won't get the exact colors, but you know, it's to get some sort of base idea.

I definately want to use orange as the trim color, it looks kewl and I love orange. I was thinking of going with gray-blue-ish colors or gray-green-ish colors. I dunno, I like the combination of both, but it just doesn't convince me completely.

If you would like to make some changes to the scheme to see how it looks go here, the colors I used are #506894 (Pruple-ish blue) #3F7B96 (Wierd blue) #A2D47D (Light green) #72A64B (Darker green) #FFB300 (Sept stripe orange) #FFF200 (Detail yellow).
