 Re: Art Dump
that is one super hot gurl right there bro @Bombzero: Well versed in the art of strange art, you are. :U @Nonsequitorian: Hot damn, that's pretty awesome! I sometimes feel like i should be doing some crafting, but i kind of lack a workshop to do it. Oh well, all the more fun for when i move out and start carving Hamstone out of various granite blocks! IN THE MEANTIME, i felt like it was too long ago that i drew a dinosaur/lizardthing, so i began doodling this: Ain't quite done with it, but i'd like to ask for some feedback and/or tips. I'm working with a mouse as usual, which, paired with my spasmodic hand movements, makes the lines rather erratic.

 Re: Art Dump
So far this page is giving off a Yume Nikki vibe with the bloodghost and Bombzero's thingie. Anyway I turned my previous doodle into something proper, it's Mayhem, an alias of the musician Renard. As for your lizard mr Shook, I don't know, but I think the shade should rise up earlier for the front of the muzzle, assuming it's moslty flat. Not completely sure though, I only wing it when trying shading myself.

Small question but how do people actually do the small colored(or white) outline glows around an object in a piece? Also am I the only one who thinks that 1920x1080 is still far too small of a resolution for a 20 inch monitor? I mean really, all this damn technology and we still only get DPIs of 72 on the average screen? Just imagine a 20 inch 350dpi screen... (This message provided to you by the foundation for Bombzero noticing pixels still exist.) @Shook: You're much better at using brighter colors than I am.

Secondary small question, does anybody know how to reduce the ridiculous amount of processing power required by some brushes in photoshop? Only thing that really makes CS5 unattractive to use is my wimpy processor.

 Re: Art Dump
Use simpler brushes/lower brush resolution or get a new CPU I guess Like that Matty, not my style but definitely good finish overall!

 Re: Art Dump
I love that style matty, it's so nice and cartoony! (and me and cartoons, we go waaaaaaaay back) Also, did some more work on that lizardinosaur thing. Not quite sure about the neck, it strikes me as off, but other than that, i think it's almost at a stage where i can call it ready and presentable. :U

 Re: Art Dump
All I can see wrong with the neck is that the brown line separating the yellow and green scales is slightly misshapen. Smooth it a bit more, and maybe tweak the thickness, and I think it would look fine. The teeth aren't very noticeable and the lines on the front tooth just look a bit silly in general. What even are those? The perspective of the snout seems off. The right (lizard's right) nostril is facing us, but the lizard is facing to our right. (Right as in if he was in front of me he would be looking off at something to the right of me.)

 Re: Art Dump
OKAY, all good points, thanks! I shall work on that tomorrow, otherwise my sleep schedule will be even more ♥♥♥♥ up. Also, about the teeth, i've hit the annoying impasse that i can't draw colours brighter than white, and the beige colour of the skin is already rather bright. I suppose i could darken it a bit? Also, the lines were a terrible attempt at imitating the uneven surface of teeth. It obviously didn't go very well, but hey, live and learn. :U

Cheers peoples. Something about the making of it: I drew and coloured her in Paint.NET, then transferred her into Photoshop for composition and the white stroke around it. Paint.NET is quite nice I find, but can be awkward with AA lines sometimes alternating between smooth and sharp.

I'd recommend Paint Tool SAI instead, it's a generally more comfortable and reliable program.

I don't know how to draw anything anymore. I don't post much of anything anymore. Here's a stick person I guess.
