Oh my god dat combat. DAT COMBAT. I wonder if that approach has been tackled before? Either way, it's an excellent hook to have combat work that way.

No idea. Either way, they've got my wallet. Apparently, if you watch the Kickstarter video, the guy coded the engine and everything himself. And then you look at the engine, and realize that the guy is pretty good at coding.

I only put in twenty euros, but it'll probably be worth it.
Also, here's the pitch video

Re: Link Dump
If they get a wounding system that is not simple "Sword do 10 damage, human have 30hp, lol u dead after 3 hits" I might found.
I want damage like in dwarfortress! Bleeding wounds, sliced tendons and broken bones, not just "now I'm fine, now I'm dead"...
Right now it looks just like overgrowth, i.e a pretty physics fighting simulator without a point.
But that editor looks sexy, gotta say.

you know I think the best chance of DF like injury systems in combat games probably lies in voxel physics engines, provided you can make a realistically-tissued human and animate it, then program how the effects of the damage affect player control.

Sure, but from this pretty little demo, imagine the possibilities they have. Damage may be calculated in a Dwarfy way, by how hard you hit, where, with a sharp edge or blunt surface via slapping or trauma. I mean it looks possible, but I don't know how exactly.

Oh man that would be so cool if when you get hit in the arm your arm just flops about as your run and swing at stuff...
