Considering what they're trying to do I can't exactly blame them for ♥♥♥♥ netcode.

Re: Planetside 2
i read that they were designing the engine from the ground up, specifically to have good, stable netcode

The guns feel like I'm firing a very small cannon, very fast.

Re: Planetside 2
Well I just attempted to play PS2, I am only slightly confused, it's just so massive it's hard to get an idea of what to do Hopefully a video introduction or two will help me understand, along with failing at the game some more of course

Re: Planetside 2
lag is a issue in this game, although even though i have crap internet and the beta took 12 hours to download, it has like 10x less lag then Cod (cause of their ♥♥♥♥ engine) and like 3x less lag than battlefield 3, which is nice cause it means i don't have to turn off all devices that use internet the second a battle happens.
also planes are a little under powered. gets annoying when you get in a jet only to have some jerk with one of those tanks with the AA gun on it to shoot you down in 1 second and you have to wait quarter of a hour just to get another jet, also the best i can kill with the jet is a flash cause its lightly armored and is a bigger target than infantry. and to buy new crap for the jets is just to damn expensive. plus don't even think about flying to support a battle cause you will get shot down in 0.0000000000000000001 seconds by 4 AA tanks, 8 maxes with dual AA guns, and at least 10 engineer turrets.

Re: Planetside 2
I was at SOE Live and played a bit of the beta. The game was pretty lame if you ask me.
It's really difficult 90% of the time to tell who is on your team. Sometimes your teammates shoot at you, thinking you're the enemy. I had to kill a friendly who walked around a corner and thought I was an enemy. The controls are standard for shooters, but some added mechanics have really unintuitive controls. There was nothing there to teach you how to play when I tried, either. Many vehicles are really finicky to control. The factions barely have any differences between them besides aesthetics.
I just don't think it's a good game.
That said, I have dog tags for each faction from going to the event. They're pretty cool at least.

The game has improved a lot, especially since the last time I played it was the technical test, which is around alpha.

Which faction are you wanting? The Vanu Sovereignty, obviously. I mean, they are the best faction after all. Bias? What bias?

Re: Planetside 2
(Pictures stolen from another site since I can't be assed to take a picture myself.) I have two sets of them. I'm keeping one of the Vanu ones for myself. The rest are in their original plastic packaging, unopened. PM me if you want one. DISCLAIMER: I can't promise prompt shipping, or that they will ever be shipped. Update: Both of the Terran Republic tags are taken. One for Lizard and the other for WalkableBuffalo. Izen gets the Vanu tag. Only two New Conglomerate tags left.
