Re: The Lounge
Some of us are capable of good and proper English, including all the necessary grammar, spelling and punctuation requirements.

Re: The Lounge
I just killed a coral snake and for some reason I think that's important enough to tell you all.

Re: The Lounge
it's only a matter of time before chao loses the capitalization though i guess it already goes when he's making sarcastic posts?? In other news, just watched Skyfall in the cinema. A+ movie, and Silva is an excellent antagonist. Also the intro song is epic, and with the intro sequence it's playing on top of... Hot damn. Also there was supreme bass in the sound system where we watched it. It was like BOMB EXPLODES WHOLE BUILDING SHAKES. Well, maybe only the seats, but they did shake. I guess you could say that it... /me sunglasses Shook my very foundation. B|

Goddangit Shook. That pun was awful. Also yes, Skyfall is awesome. I really, really disliked Quantum of Solace, since it was more like a Jack Bauer movie than a James Bond one, but Skyfall was more like the older Bond movies.

Re: The Lounge
IIRC Chao said he only skips punctuation for sarcastic posts Which is most of them I have no regular typing habits at all, I just do it however I want.

Natti wrote: Goddangit Shook. That pun was awful. What? I needed a punchline. :U Also yeah, the fact that there was a kazillion references to older Bond movies also helped. Hearing Q referring to exploding pens made me giggle. I'd talk about the tearjerky moments, but they're kind of very spoileriffic, so...

Re: The Lounge
Hey guys. Have you ever seen Gnomoria?
It's isometric dwarf fortress. And it's really, really good. I've built a palisade around my fortress entrance due to the threat posed by monitor lizards. Large crops of wheat are hauled in daily, along with the near by apple orchards being harvested, clipped and then cut down, because apple wood looks awesome and is worth more than pine or birch.
On the inside of the fortress, progress is going...slowly. I've built a saw mill and brick carving workshop, allowing me to build a carpentry and start building beds.
Its the second month of the fortresses existence.
My people have been sleeping on the cold floor, eating apples and drinking yak milk since the initial supplies ran out.
EDIT : Nine gnomads have arrived, and a honey badger.
EDIT : I made the gnomads into various workers, woodcutters, farmers, ranchers, you know. My soldier killed the honey badger, then got jumped by two goblins, who were in turn jumped by a bunch of woodcutters and miners with axes.

Re: The Lounge
It's over. Only three survive. I lack the people to man the walls, guard the door or even carve things from wood. Whenever the damn goblins attack again, I will lose. That is my defenses. The door is smashed in, it won't stop any attackers.

PILE WOOD IN FRONT OF THE DOORS IN THE MORNING
Just so you can say "haha you touched my morning wood" to their faces when they come to kill you.
In totally different news, i've just realized exactly how time consuming it is to make animations, even with crude stick figures such as mine. Even a relatively low framerate of 10 frames per second means... Well, 10 drawings per second. I don't particularly envy Disney's animators at the moment, since they both do far more detailed drawings, and a much higher framerate. 24-30 frames per second, i believe. For an animated film taking 1,5 hours... That's up to 162000 frames in total. No bloody wonder they take so long to produce.
