I don't know why we're even having this discussion anyway.

If this thing came walking towards me in the forest, I'd run.

I just finished reading Metro 2033.
The ending was pretty wtf, but hot damn was the book good.
Gotta see if the local libraries have Metro 2034.

In completely different news, calcite is an awesome mineral and polariscopes are awesome things. You know why? Well...

Calcite displays double refraction. It also polarizes light, so while it might look like this when viewed through a polariscope, turning it 45 degrees makes it look like this.
But that is not all, oh no! See, putting an ordinary ruler into the polariscope makes it look like you're on acid. Also, applying a third polarization filter like so makes it look like ♥♥♥♥ space magic.

So yeah, SCIENCE!

Both of those are excellent books. 2034 is a bit different than 2033, but it's still great.
If you're looking for good Russian literature, go read Roadside Picnic.

Metro 2033 is a book?
I assumed it was just the videogame.
Assuming there's a connection.

I've heard that Roadside Picnic was the inspiration for the STALKER series though

I have also read Metro 2033, great book and provides a good backstory for the game
I had no idea there was a Metro 2034, I'll have to buy that
I recommend Roadside Picnic although I haven't got it yet

Roadside picnic was awesome and so was Metro 2033, the ending actually worked for me after I re-read the book.
Metro 2034 has yet to be translated into english as far as I'm aware. :C

111herbert111, they have a finnish Metro 2034 at our local library, so I'd assume it's been translated to english, too.
And Izen, yeah, the game was based on the book.

I took personal offence at Miku not being "real music".
