Honestly, UKIP is the only party worth voting for. Nigel is indestructible, he survived a plane crash when the pilot actively tried to kill him.

Fun Fact : The United Kingdom pays over fifty million a day to be part of the European Union. I'm pretty sure that's enough to reinstate those old student benefits along with increasing police funding.





Honestly, I know who I am voting this GE. Then again, we do have a number of fun parties.

EU is the worst thing that have ever happen to Sweden too (the fact that we sent a Pirate Party politican (Christian Engström) to the EU parlament talk for itself), I'd wish we had the sense to do as Norway. If Sweden should be in any Union it would be the Kalmar Union once again, a united Scandinavia.

I have no idea why we should poke our ♥♥♥♥ in to that mess on the continent...

Wow, the UK has some really wierd thing going on in there.


Last sunday we voted for majors and councilors with the new laws on voting, which says that voting is voluntary and not compulsory for people that is registered.

60% of the population that could vote didn't.

I wonder if they realize that non-compulsory voting is exactly what allows corruption to spread faster in government as it promotes apathy among the populace. (*cough cough* America *cough cough*)

You have to understand that compulsory voting is a double-edged sword.
Too many people will just vote randomly (because they don't care) that it can hurt the votes.

Well, voting was compulsory if you registered yourself in the election thingie after you were 18. Voting was compulsory, but registering was voluntary.

Though, in our country, most of the people won't give a ♥♥♥♥ about politics, that's why no one voted, and when I went voting, there were a lot of people saying like "I don't know who to vote for, I'm going to vote for this guy because he has the coolest ads". Everyone complains after who gets elected, but no one does anything about it.

At least I have enough consciousness about that to vote.
Also, voting is fun. You get to meet interesting people (well, not always, but I've met interesting people).

Trust me, I know how you feel.
Same thing in America, "Obama sux omg y can he nut du neting rite?" me: "Who did you vote for?" them: "Obama cause he promised to do good stuff for the people"
And that's how 90% of people judge politics here, whoever promises the most bull♥♥♥♥, plus everything on TV is just attack ads never an actual campaign message.

Plus, no matter who wins no progress will actually be made, because Congress will just cockblock the president all the time, and vice versa.

i tend to stay out of politics simply because i don't understand it, as well as most of the politicians up for prime minsters are just, idiots or not the type of people i would like to see there to begin with.

except for the fact that congress is also elected, sadly nobody researches congressional candidates and instead go "Hurr durp erm a republicunt/derpicrat(party systems are ♥♥♥♥ stupid) so I jus pik des peple"

Politics are especially stupid at the wonderful age of 15 (almost 16, I suppose) because everything my friends "know" come from their parent's beliefs. I try to refrain from taking sides right now, and there isn't a real point to vote in my opinion anyways. No president is going to take any radical movements in this day and age, so America just has to watch itself slowly slide into the pooper

Well, you should inform yourself whenever you can.
Because even if you dislike politics (I dislike them a lot) you are still forced to know about them as long as you live in a country.

So, we should all move to our own DRLFF independant island.
