You did something very very right.
Not only did you get your girlfriend into a gasmask, you also got her to do the shitty job of making forgeworld parts acceptable.

Yours do look quite straight though, did you bend them into shape or did you get a remarkably good cast?

Anyway, grats man, that is one hell of an awesome model!

Hehe, yeap, she does it because she want too though (I could not hold her from the model).

Haven't had to shape anything yet, it's better then I had hoped for.

Also Thanks!

You lucky bastard. I had to bent every single part that could have bent. I still couldn't get the bottom plate I/O shape.

Also, another tip when cutting resin: put some water on it, it will keep the particles from getting air born.

Well Forge world are derp most of the time, especially when it comes to prices - luckily for me I got mine cheaper.

I usually only wet it when I'm drilling, but I'll try to water it when cutting to, it's just at it's SO MUCH moldlines, hence the gasmask (and who dosen't like a girl in a gasmask :P )

Wow, painting that Titan up will take some time.

How are you gonna paint it?

He'll probably do it with paint.

I'll indeed use paint.

I'm not really sure yet, I'm gonna make it sexy pink though as it will be slaaneshi, and oily-blood running from the in the wounds but pretty discreetly, not like super red. Then there will be a layer of battle dust and rust. I want one to be able to see the story of the Warhound on it:
1. Imperial Warhound
2. Destroyed in battle against renegades
3. Refitted by the renegades and used with a crew - more battle damage
4. Possessed by the corrupted machine-spirit/daemon, crew is now used as mindless automatons by the machine. - more wounds that "bleeds"

Are you going to use any interesting weathering methods for that? Salt? Hairspray? Marmalade?

I had like zero moldlines on my macharius, all I had was a big bad casting block at the back of the turret, on which my knife slipped and went straight to the bone....

And you got me curious, but how did you get it cheap? Ebay?

I might use salt, but I'm not sure yet, gonna do some test on trash models/scrap and see. What I really want is those weathering colors for drybrushes, but I have no drybrush... yet.

I got it from a friend who had it for a year or so (Still in the original package), and he was like "I don't have the time, and I can't stand to look at it!" and I was like "Bro, no worries I'll buy it of you for almost ½ the price, the deal of your life! lol" and he agreed. ^^

Necrons.

Tell me about them.
Lately I've been feeling like getting those instead of Tau.
Basically because they are less squishy and I like the "Metal Mummies in SPAAAACEE" thingie.

They used to be "Silent metal killers who rose from the grave" until recently, where the fluff was changed to "We have a dark and emotional history and now w're going to kill people".
They're considered the easiest to paint and play.
That's about as much as I know.

Necrons used to be overpowered before the new codex.
Now they are even worse. But at least you now fight armies composed of more than x amount of warriors, y amount of scarab swarms, 1/2 lord(s) and a monolyth.

I'd say stay with the tau and get a good list. I've fought a guy who numbercrunched a perfect tau list. I ♥♥♥♥ hate his use of those hammerheads. It comes down to the following: "You have tanks? Now you don't. You have infantry, lemme shoot them with the explosive shells." Whatever isn't dead after two turns of being shot by three tanks is mopped up by the fire warriors, who have taken their time setting up in cover.

Only thing that works is using jump infantry and the likes, you can close in with his warriors before he kills the majority of your army.
