So, Build 100 or 1.0
So, Build 100? I've recently return to notice that we've move rather extremely fast in-regards to build releases i can only assume that data has hire more staff members, Or that we've skip a few dozen builds?
Am i one to assume that, Data has done this?

i'm sorry to say but it seems like they're kinda done content wise and, don't quote me on this, but i'm pretty sure they said they're leaving it up to modders to put in new content.
so, the awesome whitebrainbattlebot you see in the intro? not going to happen.
also prom most likely made that image in the OP.
the reason for all this is because CC runs on an engine nearly a decade old. i think that data personally wants to be done with CC and move on to cave engine and other projects. if you read up on the blog you'll realize CC isn't his only project, and CC2 has been hinted at A LOT.

Sims, didn't you know that? CVE is entirely different from CC and it's going to have features that were not possible with the RTE.
Probably that will also happen content-wise, at least when CVE actually becomes a game and isn't just a game engine.

Last i check in we were still in build 26 so I'm not really sure what CVE is unless its Cave Veh Engine.

Look, this is starting to get really embarrassing. Y'all are arguing over petty semantics and Sims_docs' disability to comprehend basic English. So let's try and lay this out really simply.
Initially, Data released "builds". These were essentially the Beta version of the game, not the fully completed game in all its glory. Each new build went up a number. So at our last build, we had had 25 previous builds of Cortex Command. Each new build was a combination of new content, bug fixes, and gameplay. There was no real requirement for what constituted a build, so long as something had changed from the previous build.
However, this all changed with the newest release. With this fully completed, ready-to-go, and commercial version of Cortex Command, the numbering system was switched from "builds" to "versions". With versions, 1.00 represents the first commercial release, and any future updates will change the version number depending on how big they are.
However, CVE, or CAVE VEHICLE ENGINE, is a new project of Data's. It's in no way related to Cortex Command. It's currently just a game engine, with no game attached, but hopefully eventually something will come out of it.
