Re: Favorite modder(s)
I remember Lord Tim.
I always thought he was like some sort of gentle Grif, or an aggressive Allstone.
Somewhere in the middle of that chaos factory.

Come at me bro. What a coincidence, I'm my favorite modder too. But seriously I love everyone who's made a mod (unless the mod sucked, in which case I hate you)

In fact, I quit data realms forever.

Anybody else fear Nonsequitorian is making DRLFF Tech? But, not to derail the thread, I really like the whole lot of you, but if I had to nominate someone then either Gotcha! - as UniTec made me start downloading mods in the first place, and it being so easy to modify that I had learned the basics on it, or Mehman, whose LUA magic never ceases to surprise me.

numgun, Shook, Capnbubs, and Darlos really churned out quite a lot of original ideas in their massive packs.
It's a real shame that so many of the great mods are now lost. One mod a while ago called the "Stone Cutter" was one of the first rockets that switched the up and down thrusters to make a projectile laser. At the time, it blew my mind that you could take something as well defined as a rocket, and (literally) turn it on its head.
I'm hesitant to include JAGO, but his one contribution was Tomato, so it evens out. It's nice to see people still remember me, despite how inactive I've been If I had to pick, I'd choose TLB, numgun, LFoW, Grif, Abdul Alhazred, Darlos, Cavecricket48, and amrobotics. *Completely Off Topic* What? I don't get any credit for the grapple gun that was added? I was the first to prove the concept http://forums.datarealms.com/viewtopic.php?f=75&t=16078&p=298601&hilit=grapple+boing#p298601

Re: Favorite modder(s)
as far as I know, all my favorite modders are either gone or at least don't update their own mods anymore...
Ivan-whatever-his-name-was who made Bear Faction. that was one of the best things ever, with like russian voices and an RPG and a tank that actually worked like a tank... it was an ACrab that wasn't ACrap
OrkGothic His orks where the orkiest of orks they had just the right amount of dakka, and he had the...um... i forget what it was called but the giant metal ork. Oh man that takes me WAYYYY back
I Don't even remember any of whitty's mods but I'm pretty sure things would be better if he wasn't gone... I don't even remember when he left.
Theres someone else probably but I don't remember at the moment...
-edit-
oh yeah, lord tim and allstone. that was... well... it was.

I'm never really gone, I just have very long extended periods of forgetting that this place is around XD Think of me as that uncle you see every year for Christmas. And sometimes, I have a really badass gift. But you forget what it was a little afterwards, probably because it was bright and hurt your eyes.

Never saw that future coming . So in the future, whenever your plane is landing at an airport in the US, it may be some of my handiwork that's guiding it down. That could be either a good or bad thing
