Having bought the Mac version of the game, I encountered the problem with the fullscreen mode not working. Now, I'm not complaining about this problem, since I'm going to wait for a fix. However, I tried at least remedying the problem by making the screen larger through the "2x resolution" button. The one that changes to the fullscreen mode button when pressed. However, even at the lowest resolution, the window is too large for the entire game to be visible, cutting off essential elements like the buy button. Since I already mentioned the button which doubled the resolution changes to the fullscreen mode button (Which crashes the game if I press it), I cannot change the resolution back through the game. Does anyone know of a solution to this problem, or a way to restore the default resolution settings?

Well, if somone is kind enough to upload you a default settings.ini, you can always use that.

Something you may be able to try is to click and drag the buttons, if you can see only one corner of it, you can (or should) be able to click and drag it into your view range.

Here's the default settings, put it in the base.rte folder in the game folder.

A quicker fix that worked for me (OS X 10.7) is to just delete settings.ini. It generated a fresh one on the next restart of the game.
