Re: The Lounge
Wait when did anyone say it was difficult to mod? I specifically said the fact that it isn't is pretty much the only reason it's gotten as popular as it ever did

CrazyMLC wrote: CC is pretty easy to mod, but there's no single variable to change if you want to change around an actor. You probably have to change a variable in each part, maybe have some fun with walkpaths, change around some variables that you aren't entirely sure of the function yet, and deal with not knowing about the optional variable you're actually looking for to complete your mod.
Point is, there are easier games to mod. It depends on your standard. It's kinda daunting at first (hell, I still haven't touched walkpaths or done anything too complex with Lua or particle effects), but yeah, CC is one of the easier games to mod that I've worked with. Easiest I've worked with... that probably goes to C&C Tiberian Sun and the other pre-Generals C&C games.

Re: The Lounge
welp 1.0 is actually out
And it happened within my lifetime, amazingly. I feel like i should be doing some modding now, but the MODDING MOJOOOOOOOOO hasn't quite appeared in full force yet. I'm sure all you other modders know what the hell i'm talking about.

Re: The Lounge
Loving the look of that trailer, really nice. Reminds me of those 90s CG intros/cinematics.

Re: The Lounge
Got my computer booted normally and played CC for a while before my regular bluescreen.
Randomized Ronin soldier and Heavy Ronin are by far the best addition, along with some Techion stuff (Dihelical cannon is awesome). Some Coalition weapons are now Imperatus, like the heavy sniper rifle, flak cannon and the revolver cannon.
And the campaign, from what I played, seemed much better in terms of bugs/glitchs, though the mechanics now kinda confused me at the beggining, but I got the hang of it quickly.

Re: The Lounge
The new content is kind of neat, but not super impressed (same as everyone else I'm sure). I think there still could be a lot of potential to this game if people get together and mod the hell out of it. I think just making everything do ~10% as much damage as they currently do would go a long way.

Couldn't help but notice the game runs smoother now too.

Your prayers tumble heedlessly into Data's waiting maw, tiny patches of your soul disappearing down his cavernous gullet Making a game and then consuming the hopes of those who wish for him to finish it is the secret to his immortality
