There's gonna be a lot more people here within a week. aw shoot heck This is actually perfect timing, for once. In 24 hours, i'll be done with all my papers for this week, and i shall command all the cortexes so hard that i won't even need a cerebellum.
also i'm going to do some more modding but WHO CARES, RIGHT?

Re: The Lounge
Alright. Seems like someone should make a technical guide for troubleshooting Cortex Command. We all know people will be wondering why the game crashed when they hit escape to skip the intro.

Re: The Lounge
My technical guide for troubleshooting cortex command:
If game does not start and tosses an error in your direction, try starting it again twice before jumping to conclusions. If game still refuses to start, remove all mods, spam the forums and hide in a nuclear shelter.

Re: The Lounge
I honestly think they should whipe the forums with the cleansing heat of atomic fire before the newb-rush.

Re: The Lounge
As everyone knows, /v/ is the internet's most accurate barometer on indie game popularity.

Re: The Lounge
It'll turn out just like the MW2 boycot, nobody will buy it and it won't become popular at all.
Seriously though I'm not too worried about whatever reputation this game has on some imageboard.

Re: The Lounge
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying /v/ is the almighty leader in video game opinion internet indi hivemind. It just kind of gets my goat that people think there's actually going to be a noob rush for an (IMO) overpriced indie. But, the future hasn't come yet, so what is to come, let us sit back and wait patiently.

Re: The Lounge
Possibly because it's been out for seven years and not actually changed all that much since then, the most notable additions being an expansion to modding technology which is frankly one of the few reasons the game even has more content, seeing as much of it is made by freelance mod makers The mods are what sell Cortex Command and even with their becoming more powerful it starts to get stale after seven years
But hey, Cortex Command must have brought all of these wonderful, upstanding community members to the board at some point so who knows
