Yeah he took it to the vet, the vet gave it medication and thus clearly expected that there was some hope and he was already discussing means to put it out of its misery when it died by itself But hey if you want to be an ♥♥♥hole to someone whose pet just died I guess that is your decision

I was having a shittastic day, and then I ate some Captain Crunch. Things aren't so bad now.

Re: The Lounge
If BigBomb was right about anything it's that it might have been better to have the water bowl outside of the cage, but nobody should expect you to think that clearly in a stressful situation like that.
I feel your loss Ketten. I had a female budgie a couple years ago, we'd pet her a lot, going all the way down to her tail. We didn't know that she was female at the time, and we also didn't know that that's a sexual thing to do to a bird. Eventually she started wanting to lay eggs, when she got egg bound.
We got her to the vet in time, where they tried to remove the egg. All that I know after that point is that she didn't make it.

Re: The Lounge
Well, my parents did everything the vet told them to do, including having the water readily accessible. He didn't drown, perhaps I should have mentioned that, but it made for a sorry sight nonetheless to see such an energetic and lovable bird deceased in a position like that. As mentioned, I was discussing methods with my parents, but as Chao said, it was gone before we could decide on anything. *sadface*
Thanks all, and sorry for writing such a depressing post :S Just needed to get some of it out

Holy shitass, Sword Art Online. For all the weaboos and anime-watchers here, go watch it immediately. It's set in an virtual reality MMO game, but it actually has good consistent MMO mechanics, unlike every damn other MMO anime ever. Also, it's totally awesome.

Re: The Lounge
Are we done with dead pets now?
If not...
So when I was 10 in a very cold (-26c) december night we heard this wierd mewling outside the door and my mother went to see what it was. When I got there I saw this black and white cat, maybe 2-3 years old, starving, cold and very, very scared. It would shy away as soon as anyone of my family came close and then my father gave me a slice of cheese and said you go try. And so It came to be that I gave out new cat it's first meal in out household. The cat, named Kattami, bacame a dear friend for the whole family spending it's first years delivering mice and birds for the whole family to gaze upon. She became quite the lady when she turned ~14-15 years and leisurely sat in whosoever lap where in front of the TV or if there where a monitor on, the top of that were hers. And she were pretty spoiled by this point and only ever ate the finest dryfood and shrimps.
But then came the day when she turned 19-20 years, and she did not want to eat, we took her to the vet and they did not really find anything, good teeth, fine fur and so on, so they gave her some hydrating-shot and that was it. For a few days she was fine, but then when I was home alone I heard her a few rooms away make this very odd mewling sound... When I get there she sits in a corner, scared, I realise she was ill and needed food. So I put her on the table and get her some luxurious dryfood, she did not want it at all so I gave her shrimps, no luck. I pet her for a while and she gets more relaxed. This was kinda early so I make some breakfast, I just make some quick sandwiches and park myself at her table. Then she look up a little and I follow her gaze to my sandwich, I give her a slice of cheese - she eats it just like that december day all those years ago. I stay with her till she sleeps in and never wakesup again - curled up inbetween my arms...
Edit: spelling...

Wow, that's one hell of a sobstory. The grammatical errors kept annoying me, though.
And on that note, Genie is the best thing about Aladdin, hands down. You see this series called Genie's Funniest Moments? There are 13 parts to it. That's how awesome Genie is. The fact that he's voiced by Homer Simpson Dan Castellano in the series only makes it better. And when he's not voiced by Dan, he's voiced by Robin Williams.

That Baklava pales in comparison to this Baklava.
Otherwise known as where Silent Hill got their sound effects. First minute sent one hell of a shiver down my spine, not listening for anymore :O
