Bandar is just ridicustupid big. What you playing on? Console? PC? Regardless; Welcome to Battlefield. The proper one, not the bad company one.

Re: Battlefield 3
Yeah, I mean I like CQ better than AK, but even I can't deny that the whole point of the series is absurdly large maps and epic battles, regardless if that's the way I like to play. So for people who enjoy the BF series for what it is, this is pretty awesome. Minus the gunship, I hear a lot of whining about that. Though to be fair I haven't even touched bf3 since the AK launch; Too many awesome games to play...

Re: Battlefield 3
I woulda preferred they used the BF 1942 way of massive airaft. Being able to actually fly the AC130 woulda been awesome, and I don't see how it would be overpowered. I remember having some good times bombing people with the old Lancaster, or the Heinkles in the Battle for Britain.

Re: Battlefield 3
Because suicide ac130s wouldn't be very practical on those long timers, and you know how often people use the jets as one-shot transports.

Re: Battlefield 3
I don't really like the vehicle-heavy maps of BF3, because if you can't get hold of one, you can't go anywhere on foot without getting sniped.

Re: Battlefield 3
Yeah man uh, the AC-130 shouldn't even really be this close to combat. It's supposed to be flying a few kilometers away and up in the sky aswell.
It's also not a bomber, it's a gunship. With cannons.
The chances of getting a decent pilot would be 1/8.

"Yeah man uh" none of those reasons are good reasons for it to be the way it is now and no ♥♥♥♥ it's a gunship.

Re: Battlefield 3
It'd be too easy to baserape with, too inconsistent for gunners, too boring for pilot. Woo! Fly in a circle!
It wouldn't be any fun, in the end.
Pilotable civvie aircraft on the other hand? Yes please.
C4 seaplanes.

Re: Battlefield 3
What are you guy's thoughts on shortcut DLC? I think it's somewhat unfair, but since even if a new pilot gets all equipment, he'll still lack the experience to use it correctly or even at all. I got the CO-OP shortcut anyway though, since I never played it but wanted the weapons. Speaking of weapons, I've been trying a OBU-88 with INRV scope, suppressor, and a foregrip. Feels a lot like the sniper that the guy used in Black Hawk Down.

Re: Battlefield 3
In my opinion, unlockables shouldn't be something that makes you better than the others, it should be alternative weapons or purely aesthetical things. So yeah, I also don't like shortcut DLC. At all.

Re: Battlefield 3
Shortcut DLC is perfect because it gives EA money without exploiting anybody other than the people stupid enough to buy it.
Besides, best guns in the game are the starter guns and coop guns.

Re: Battlefield 3
Uh yeah last I checked the famas was garbage; That's like the definition of neutering. Even the aug is outclassed by the 416 post patch now.
EDIT: I'm with lizard on the shortcut dlc, it doesn't take that long to unlock everything anyway, so it's not like it's giving any advantage, people are just giving ea money.
