Re: The Lounge
Oh man. Black Mesa Source is amazingly beautifully crafted. I am truly wordless after playing ~15 minutes of it. Seriously, if you haven't, go download it now and try it. It's frikkin' amazing.

I'm trying it out, and aside from a little silliness and wow right at the start, it quickly became tired for me, because I've beaten the original too many times.

Re: The Lounge
I made it to sector seven on normal with a full human crew. The Bio-Beam is a deadly weapon, don't underestimate it.
Anyway, I may soon be without internet for a very long time. Just so you guys know, if my post's seem to stop, I've got no net.

Re: The Lounge
Made it to the last stand on my second try. I was almost instantly devastated by the overwhelming angerbeams of the enemy army. I want to play more but I need sleep.

Re: The Lounge
I was destroyed by the Rebel flagship's drone rush :/
Played a mainly Engi ship with focus on ion cannons and shields, only offence was a single attack drone. This game is fantastic fun so far, though I hope you can continue playing after defeating the flagship.

Re: The Lounge
The Engi ship is really good. Just disable the enemy shields until your drone can take them out, and then fire away at their weaponry. Slow but assured victory.
Also: Halberd Beams. Two of them. I started with one, and in the second zone I picked one up and waited until I had the second best weaponry rank before I could use it. Completely worth it. I killed every ship I came across by firing one missile at their shields while the beams charged up, and then focusing them on cuttting across three rooms for 1-2 damage each room. 6-12 damage each round minus whatever damage my missiles did. It was the most overpowered ship that I had seen until I ran out of missiles and died due to oxygen loss.

Re: The Lounge
I'd get one. Although it looks like it could use a trunk of some sort, I don't see any way to reasonably carry anything.
