Getting the sequel as an IOS game instead of the properly handled sequel the series deserves is like a slap to the face, especially after getting excited about it. Unless there actually will be a proper TWEWY 2, and this is just a little side game, in which case I'm mostly fine with it. Of course if it ISN'T a side game...
If I have to run it on my Ipod, it'll be slower, have probably inferior controls, and it's a goddamn Ipod, its meant for dinky little time waster games and playing music, not anything you take seriously. It just won't be nearly as high quality on an Ipod as it would be on the 3DS.

The last game I played on iOS was Ghost Trick. It was originally a DS game, but it was ported to iOS. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it, and it didn't have any issues running on my phone (nor have I heard of it having issues on iPods or other devices).
The issues you're describing are inherent in iOS ports, not necessarily games developed specifically for iOS. Now, granted, it could still be a terrible game, but considering that the official announcement isn't even up yet, I'd say it's a little early to immediately write it off as a shitty sequel.
