Re: Cortex Shock
If I remember right, the letters are glows, which means that you must have disabled glows. Check your settings.ini in the base.rte. make sure post pixel glow is "1". I think its close to the top of the settings, but I haven't manually changed the settings for months.

Re: Cortex Shock
So is it possible to save the dude yelling for help when you exit the engineer place? He gets gunned down before i even can regain control of my dudes most the time. Just wondering if im missing out on getting the third character.
Awesome mission btw

Re: Cortex Shock
Yes it's possible. At least was possible in B26 when I tested this )))

Re: Cortex Shock
Ok lol ill keep trying but so far I have lost him 100% of the time and I have lost him about 80% of the time before even regaining control.
Is it meant to be so hard to save him?
EDIT: Is he meant to run into them or away from them? Cause he always runs into the 3 zombies and tries to jump on them

Re: Cortex Shock
Oh, that's probably the new B27 AI. Yeah the guy supposed to run away from zombies and escape if you don't catch him, but looks like he ignores AIMODE_GOTO and tries to obtain some weapons first. I'll try to fix it.

Re: Cortex Shock
Also I bet friendly fire being off has something to do with it too. In B26 FF was on and only one, maybe 2 of the zombies would be able to shoot him and now they can all 3 gun him down faster than he can scream for help. Thats was my theory anyway

Re: Cortex Shock
Indeed, your theory also seem viable.

Re: Cortex Shock
Guy screaming for help? Never got that far, I'm usually held up on each level with the robots that start spawning after you go to the control room/engine room (one of the two)

Re: Cortex Shock
It happens right after that. When you deal with the Cryo Generators.
I'm trying a playthrough where there are no weapons to collect during that part. Maybe if there are no floating items about, he will obey his command instead of going for something.
Another theory I have for a quick fix is to plant a weapon for him. If it works he even will be able to defend himself from the zombies.
EDIT: Turns out there is no easy fix. When there is no items, he runs into the zombies. When there is items, He runs into zombies. When there is a shotgun at his feet when he spawns, he runs to the zombies...

Re: Cortex Shock
As for the human in need of help, maybe a personalized script is needed, one that makes him run away from enemies

You should set your deltatime to default value, or maybe even try to reset the whole config to default one.

Re: Cortex Shock
AFAIK you need to enable Cortex Chock compatibility in the same file where you enable\disable different W40K factions.
