Cool painting pel! You could try using the eraser/brush with underlying colour to reduce the blobby-ness of the round brushstrokes of highlights/shadows etc.

Tried my hand at some crude animation. It was made pretty quickly (and in Paint), and i'm anything but an experienced animator, so the lack of quality shows. Especially the legs. But i guess that's kind of typical for me. :U

There was supposed to be a column of pikemen marching behind him but I just couldn't sell it.
12+ hours invested in Mypaint and Gimp. Some reference used for the cuirass armor and sword.
