Whipped this little scene up last night. Haven't done any pixel scenes for months. Colors kinda remind me of a hipster photo, lol.

Still not quite finished though, just wanted to share it and possibly get some critique on things to improve.

The hat seems a bit bulbous compared to the original photo.

Now that you say it, yeah. It is kind of large.

You should try smoothing out the shades, either with dodge and burn or manually. Doing it manually will take way longer, but it might end up better if you do it well.
Also the nose is huge and the eyes look a bit derp.

By the way, it looks pretty good, but what are those green/black/silver/brown/purple things in his left?

Yes, it's a self portrait.

Cool painting pel! You could try using the eraser/brush with underlying colour to reduce the blobby-ness of the round brushstrokes of highlights/shadows etc.

And now for something completely different. Spoiler because i want to preserve your eyesight.


Tried my hand at some crude animation. It was made pretty quickly (and in Paint), and i'm anything but an experienced animator, so the lack of quality shows. Especially the legs. But i guess that's kind of typical for me. :U
