Something is wrong with the shotgun: sometimes, while the actor is in motion, even if falling, or walking, the shotgun fails to fire off any projectiles. It happens often enough that it becomes unreliable in the situations where it should be best in.

Its easily replicateable, juts play around with it enough and it will happen while in motion. Idk why it happens, does anybody know?

EDIT: Happens when aimed horizontally. Not as often in other directions.

huehuehue. Mkay, i'll update the download link, but remember, no shielding yet, no Grenade Launcher, untested frag grenades, and Spartans who have not yet received feedback (which I need in order to make them awesomer). Just saying.

When did you download? (wow yur fast btw) I updated the download link, but then changed stuff in mediafire, and I then posted another link, so this time it should work. If not, let me know.

Only if CaveCricket is willing to (jkjk). I'd love to, but damn, the Crysis suit is stock full of awesome baddies that I can't hope to achieve without tons of lua. +, its a Halo mod, and Spartan Shielding is always on. :P

Works like a charm!
A couple thoughts on the weapons:
-spartan laser is fun, but is it possible to make it do more damage through more actors? Right now it doesn't do the same amount of damage to multiple actors, at least when I tested. It'd be nice to have the ability to mow down a line of enemy's all at once like in Halo. It does do damage to them all, but it seemed like it was less intense than individually. Maybe I'm just crazy.
-sniper rifle is awesome, just like I imagined it. I mean, I'm not complaining, but it does fire quite fast. For the sake of being balanced you might want to extend the time between shots, but if not I'm totally good with this too.
-machine gun works well. I like the short pause before it fires, helps keep it somewhat less total pwnage and more just regular pwnage.
-spartans are pretty sweet, can't wait until Mastercheif.

I think that's all, love the work your doing with this, your certainly doing the Halo series justice so far. Keep up the good work!

As some sort of suggestion, once I coded a sniper rifle that could, in theory, kill infinite actors on a straight line. The thing fired a mass-based MOPixel spawned via AEmitter, and tweaked it values with Shook's sharpness guide or thing to balance terrain rape. Whenever it hit an actor, it gibbed, and the bullet kept it's trayectory without variations.

Though it might result in incredibly overpowered awesomeness, it is a simple way to create a weapon designed to mow down the public.

@burningsky, thanks for the feedback, just what I need :D.
For the Spartan Laser, I'll try to make it stronger, maybe add some mass.
I don't want it to be able to infinitely pierce actors though, thats weird and kinda innacurate to Halo. It should be able to kill 2-3 Coalition light soldiers if you aim it right (thats what I hope for, at least)

Thanks for telling me about the sniper rifle firerate, my comp is slow, so I actually have problems replicating the firerate of things. The sniper rifle should fire about as fast as somebody in Reach pacing his shots.

I'm glad you like my mod, Halo needed a place in CC!

maybe you could cannibalize an accuracy script for the sniper rifle?

the sniper rifle in game pretty much fires as fast as you pull the trigger. but if you put it in there that you had to wait a second to regain full accuracy it could balance it out.


as for where this/these script/s are, i dunno. i just know that some mods have a script that makes accuracy worse the faster you fire.

okay i'm pretty sure it's in the mercenaries mod. the one with the single(?) actor and a shitload of guns.


numgun made it i think.

it's in one of the AAL mods.

it might not be there. if it isn't then just ask in Lua scripting where you can find a script like that. i'm certain you could get it working.
