So I use Ubuntu. Around B24 I bought a copy of Cortex Command, and I used it till B26 (the Mac version), where after that I went dormant for a while. I just came back to it, and I'm trying to make the Linux version work. I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, and every time I open it I get:

Shutting down Allegro due to signal #11
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Segmentation faults are stupid. What can I do to make this work? I'm considering caving in and just installing the Windows version under WINE.

Just install the windows version and run it in Wine. It works much better.

The Linux version has yet to update beyond B25 yet as far as I know, so yes, stick with the above until the next build at the very least.

I'm not familiar with WINE, but try redownloading CC. You might not have B27.1.
If you DO have a Techion.rte, try removing it.
Other than that, I don't know.
