Reload data in the Actor Viewer IS YOUR FRIEND.

It does work with whatever is in the loaded .ini Being it walkpaths, offsets, mass, rate of fire, ammunition, everything. As long as it is in the ini. Copy Ofs do not work if the copied object is in a separate ini.

A little misleading. You can load copyofs if they copyof from another file, but if you update the original, then reloading the actor data won't update either the copyof or the original.

Try equipping an actor with a weapon defined in another file, reload the actor data. Fire the weapon until the magazine is empty and you have to reload. Then, edit the weapon's magazine size and reload the actor data again. The weapon is added and equipped when the actor data is reloaded, but the magazine size change won't take effect until you restart the game.

wait.

actually i'm pretty sure that if you reload the weapon's script it's stuff will change too without having to reload the game.

just it has to be in selected in viewer, then you switch back to the actor that spawns with the gun.

Or you could just add this in the weapon's .ini

Code:
AddActor = AHuman
   CopyOf = Dummy
   PresetName = Dummy Weapon
   AddToGroup = zz Weapon Test
   AddInventory = HDFirearm
      CopyOf = Weapon

This is what I meant in my previous post.

The weapon will load with the changes but anything done to the Dummy's .ini will not carry over when reloaded unless reloading the Dummy's ini again.
