I realize that. But usually the hilt of a sword isn't the part that curves. :p Also, the hilt should have black wrappings or SOMETHING to signify that it's the hilt.
I have to agree with that, I thought he was resting his hand on the blade of it for some reason on account of the hilt well, looking like the blade.

Re: Art Dump
So, while my previous work lies unfinished on account of me losing interest for whatever reason (Ill finish it someday... im sure.)
I did make something new just now.
this was an absolute pain in the ass to make, had the TF2 inventory window open on the left, and SAI on the right originally, then for the finishing touches beyond the basic contours I printscreened and pasted in the actual image to reference from.
(yes, its basically a eyeballed contour drawing with the fine details traced in from a background image, but this makes good practice for linework and such.)

Pretty nice design, Matty, I like the clean lines.
Whipped this little scene up last night. Haven't done any pixel scenes for months. Colors kinda remind me of a hipster photo, lol.

Doing a picture with my avatar as reference. ♥♥♥♥ is hard, but it feels good to be doing my first piece of organized art. You can see progression from rough colors and shape to outlines and shading if you check out these links: 123[4]5
Still not quite finished though, just wanted to share it and possibly get some critique on things to improve.
edit: Number four is the picture I originally posted. Updating this as I get along
The hat seems a bit bulbous compared to the original photo.

You should try smoothing out the shades, either with dodge and burn or manually. Doing it manually will take way longer, but it might end up better if you do it well. Also the nose is huge and the eyes look a bit derp.

Re: Art Dump
I always wondered: Who is it in that photo? By the way, it looks pretty good, but what are those green/black/silver/brown/purple things in his left?

Thats p3lb0x. :L and the blobs are palette pieces, so he can easily access any colors he was using.

Lol, and a fix on my post: I always wondered: Is that p3lb0x in that photo?
