Hammerfight's story was so weird, but fantastic. Flails are by far the best weapons... all you ever need is the second one (iron ball on a long chain, as opposed to stone on a short chain) and you're set for life.

Of course, you can always go for something more... fancy;

And of course, while using a flail, turn the sensitivity ALL the way up.

I still haven't beaten it, the storyline and difficulty spikes are very unusual

I think I used the pickaxe and coupled it with a sledge hammer looking thing, twas my best combo. I haven't played in forever.

Oh man, if I had money scrapputer wasn't running linux and I had more than 80gb of hdd I would totally buy that.

I've been weaning myself off of maces [flails are something else].

I mostly use non-encrusted weapons, and axes, and swords now.
