Post Re: Legends of the Sky
Rolling at last. Damnable talking, never again.

Ragdollmaster (Troy) [1]:
O'Neil finishes talking to you. Sadly, you forgot to give an action. However, you rolled a 1, so it would've failed anyway! Yay!

Character

Miggles (Robert Wright) [7]:
You finish talking with O'Neil, and the three of you walk back down the dock to the rest of the crew.

Character

Fail Flail (Grif Mason) [8]:
...This is going to take much too long.
"C'mon Charlotte, I got another idea. Do you know the best place ANYWHERE to gather information?"
"A Library?"
"No, no, that's where to gather FACTS. For information, you go to a pub!"
"So you're gonna go get drunk too?"
"Nope, I can't hold my liqueur to save my life. Next best thing, a coffee shop! Also, I really want a good cup of coffee."

It takes a while, since what you're looking for is very specific. There are several cafes and bakeries where you could probably get the brewed beverage, but you ignore them. No information passes through those doors, only hungry customers. You keep walking until you reach the residential district, and right when you're about to give up, you find it.
Tucked away between two imposing houses is a small open air bar, with a delicious smell wafting out.
You head on over, and a large matronly woman behind the count greets you merrily.

Character

Izen (Sedraxis) [7]:
"There's probably some weird magnetic thing on this island that's messing with me. That's gotta be it."
You figure it out. One way, there are ships. The other way, there aren't.
You head toward the ships. And just like that, you get back to the docks!
Oh, just in time, O'Neil is talking to people.

Character

Maart3n (Mareikura) [6]:
You grab onto the ice and pull to snap a piece off. It sticks to your hand, and a burning pain goes into your skin, making you yelp in pain before blazing up a burst of fire to melt the ice.
... Ok. You put your gauntlet on, and try again. The runes and control lines inscribed in it freeze over, erupting in tiny spikes of ice, once again freezing to your hand.
Another burst of fire later, you've freed your hand, and are wondering how the hell to do this. It looks like this ice is magical (obviously), and is caused by the octopus ink. The problem is the ink freezes everything around it constantly, including whatever it's resting on. You need to neutralize the ice, but without neutralizing the ink. Hrmm.

Character

Tomaster (James Tiber) [3]:
You're not feeling like puking, you're feeling like there is a swarm of tiny ants made of electricity marching around the inside of your stomach. It's astoundingly uncomfortable, but there's no nausea or the typical things associated with vomiting. Just makes you want to curl up in a ball and hug your stomach for a while is all.
"You alright there?"
"DOES IT LOOK LIKE I AM?"
"Heh, newbie. Let me guess, Thunderwater?"

Good god, what the hell is IN THIS STUFF?!

Character

Game Events: O'Neil returns with Troy and Rob, then clears his throat.
"Alright lads, we've worked things out, an' yer ship'll need some modifications. It'll take probly abou' a day and a half, but ye can all have yer ship back. And I won' have my boys troopin all around yer ship either, so ye can stay on it if ye want.
Until then, I suggest ye enjoy the wonders of Madosa."

The following rolls will work as such: There will be 4 rolls, and your actions can fit the time frame however you wish. You can spread your actions out, reading books or doing work for hours, or you can concentrate it and spend all 4 rolls in a 10 minute conversation. Spend your time however you wish. Either way, in 4 rolls, the Storm Sylph will be ready to leave the docks.

Re-melt the ice put a hook from the closest fishing hook in it. By holding the rod I would have fixed it.
Return to old man and learn from him.

I want a bonus for cleverest action.

Drowning in rolls.

Ragdollmaster (Troy) [1]:
You sit down on the edge of the dock and massage your ankle, since it's gotten too painful to walk on from all your cavorting around. A few minutes later, it's stopped hurting and you stand back up.

Character

Miggles (Robert Wright) [7]:
"Welp, I'm going to go get a drink then. Anyone want to come with?"
"Time to drink away all my problems."
"Wait wait, I'm good. I can walk. Let's go drink."

The three of you head towards town and into the biggest, most boisterous pub in view, aka, the first one. Holy hell, it's a mob in here. Drunkards roaring a cheering, several small brawls breaking out as onlookers shout encouragements, a line of people doing the can-can on a table, good god.
It's glorious. You approach the bar and sit down, you and Sedraxis sitting down, James jumping onto the stool and spinning around on it.
A thin barmaid with long, pale blond hair and rather sizable... assets approaches, and informs you happily that all drinks are bought by a rich gentleman in town for the day!
"CHEERS TO HIM!"
You chug down a pint of beer in one go, earning a couple hoots and cheers from nearby onlookers.

Character

Fail Flail (Grif Mason) [2]:
"Hello, is there any local brews that you would recommend?"
"Oh, well most of our coffee is imported from far off, so I've got to say they're all good and exotic. Only way to really know is try a bunch out and see which you like!"
"Hmm. I'll just take something simple then. Strong, please."

She nods, and busies herself with the coffee.

Character

Izen (Sedraxis) [9]:
"Welp, I'm going to go get a drink then. Anyone want to come with?"
"Time to drink away all my problems."
"Wait wait, I'm good. I can walk. Let's go drink."

It's a bit overwhelming, but you sit down at the bar all the same. A rather topheavy looking barmaid with blond hair falling behind her shoulders informs you three that drinks are free for the night, on account of some rich guy passing through.
"CHEERS TO HIM!"
Rob chugs down a pint, and you take a drink of your own while you survey the bar.

Character

Maart3n (Mareikura) [9]:
You try to go down to the storeroom, but the dockhand doesn't allow you to pass. So instead, you take out your ritual knife, and generate another burst of fire on the ice, but a smaller more concentrated one that melts a hole in it rather than fully melts the whole thing. You then quickly jab the knife into the hole, and the ice refreezes around it, crawling up the blade and thankfully stopping barely above the handle. You can feel it chilling the handle, but it'll be fine for now. You grab the knife and yank, but find it goes nowhere.
...
The ice is still frozen to the deck. Derp.

Character

You're ok with this, although you'll have to watch your drinking since you're already a wee bit hammered. A fine young thing approaches behind the counter, and you swear she flips her hair and gives you a certain look that you know all too well.
Or maybe you're drunk. Either way, you missed what she said.
"CHEERS TO HIM!"
Who? Whatever.
"Hey, missy. You know anything about any nearby islands?"
Despite being one of the people tending the counter, she stops to talk, leaning forward onto the counter in front of you and resting on her elbows.
"Well... The islands are shifting pretty constantly, so I don't know if any of this info is still good, but...
I've heard about a city off to the southeast that had a big demon problem, and I KNOW there's the Northern Empire to, duh, the north. They use a lot of lightning magic and are under storm clouds a lot. Umm..."

She looks around a bit.
"Wha? Something else? C'mon baby, you can tell me, I'll keep it secret."
Dat charm.
"Well... I shouldn't... But me and my brother and sister have our own secret little island to the southwest of here, low down in the sky. It's a really pretty little lake-island with a couple old ruins on it. It's GREAT to just go there and unwind a bit!"
"Mmm, I wouldn't mind unwinding with you if you know what I mean..."

She giggles and gently hits you on the head, then heads off to serve more booze-hungry patrons.

Character

Game Events: 3 Rolls until the Storm Sylph is ready.
