The Maus have been extremely hard to use lately with the new super high penetration guns the US and soviet have now (and ofc arty, loves the Maus), sadly. The armor is kinda obsolete, as it is now.

I mean the Maus were hard to drive even before those guns came as you have a huge weakspot (the whole front of the turret, so you have to angle it when you are not fiering) which most T10 guns can penetrate.

Also the 50% off gold ammo dose not really help either, 400pen vs 200 fron armor...

The next patch 0.7.5 the german heavy-line will get a "rebalance", which I personaly think WG will mess up royaly, but I hope the Maus gets it's real armor values (ie 240mm turret front)...

I'll be satisfied if the Type 59 gets a nerf. I don't know why WG insists that it's balanced, the thing drives like a light and hits like a lower tier heavy, and it has some mean armor values to boot.

I've seen one of them scrap 3 heavies in 3 on 1 combat and come out with a decent amount of health left over. If they pack up in 2s or 3s, you can pretty much write the round off, you have no chance of winning.

Yeah the Type is really, really imba vs lower tier tanks, I stoped fearing them when I reached tier 10 adn as you said the armor on them is something extra... I ding them quite often with the 12,8cm l/55.

But they will never nerf them, as people have payed real mon-mons for it, and WG can't stand the thought of people wanting thier money back en masse.

Also, aim for upper hull not lower... But yeah dat armor..

I want the arty to be stopped threated like a piece of turd by WarGaming. The skills are not working with arty, so you need to use 1/4 of the available. The ones you can use, are ♥♥♥♥ so there is no reason to use them
Next up. Arty should have voice communication on by default.
People should threat arty like saviors. I with Dauss really often saved ones asses from certain doom. So other ppl should cover us. not "lol imma going wololo fuku cover"

Yes, sadly the userbase is rather hostile to artillery players it seems. If the team fails, arty is the first to be blamed.

That's the truth, "noob arty 0 kills" (made 50k credits after the bills (5 damaged, stop shoting at them when they have some 300hp left, not worth it), on my GWTyp E) "SIGH, arty always go for easy kills" (had 5 kills, 1 T110E5, 1 IS-4, 2 artys and a small tank I killed while fiering at the IS-4) are my two favorites.

I tend to ignore the chat as much as possible, but as a atry you kinda have to when making "T"arget calls.

Arty are the unsung heroes of WoT. On that note, what is a good spg line? I'm currently on the second French spg, the reload and the aiming time's too long, so I'm thinking about replacing it.

You uh, might want to consider not playing any artillery ever again then.

Haha true that
American SPG line doesn't seem too bad, but that is the curse with artillery, too many enemies, too fast, and not a fast enough reload time

Actually now that I checked, it's a tier III, the Lorraine39. I think it may be just the aiming time I hate. I'm actually fine with the reload, but the annoying part is when your target moves slight out of gun range and you have to spend another five seconds trying to aim the damn thing. Then it moves out of range again...

Oh well, I had a better experience with the SU-26 I guess.
