Re: Cortex Shock
Kytin, thanks, yeah control room is probably the hardest one. What faction you played? Didi you get the third character? Did you have zombies spawining from ventilation in rooms? Just curious what you encountered there ))

Re: Cortex Shock
It'd probably be easier if the player units didn't stop the counter as well. Having to hop up and down is an absolute pain in the ass. On the other hand, being able to just sit in there and watch the doorways and blasting them as they come through would probably make it too easy...

Re: Cortex Shock
Or maybe I'll just make weaker robots to make it easier.

Re: Cortex Shock
I honestly think it's fine as is. Sure, it's a challenge but it's a boss fight, it shouldn't be a piece of cake. Lower the difficulty if it's too hard, I got it on try 1 or 2 anyway so it's not that bad, you just have to play intelligently and make sure you have at least 1 actor with max toughness and good regen.

Re: Cortex Shock
I was playing as browncoats and had the difficulty set to cake if I recall correctly, and yes zombies kept spawning from the ventilation. I never did find the third character.
While I certainly agree that as the final challenge of the game it should be more difficult than anything that has gone before, I think it is excessively difficult.
Also, I think investing in intelligence does not give sufficient reward. At the moment it seems like it actually makes things more difficult much of the time. (e.g. opening the main door to the control room just means that the attcking robots have a clear path to go where you don't want them.)

Re: Cortex Shock
I'm getting an error involving something called "new shortgun" It's a pretty fresh install, with all other mods removed.
Edit: Found and solved the problems Shortgun should be "Sawed-off shotgun" All the Browncoat guns need their name, not just their number.

Re: Cortex Shock
1) Wehrmacht. 2) weegee doesn't maintain the faction files himself, to my knowledge.

Re: Cortex Shock
As far as I know, the mod creators are responsible for their faction files, so yeah, tell Kettenkrad to update it.

Re: Cortex Shock
Hi, whenever I install your mod(I just drop cortexshock.rte in the main Cortex Command folder, that is how you install it, correct?), the game crashes on start-up. I don't know what the problem is, and I'm smashing my head on the keyboard to get this to work. :/
