Re: The Lounge
I personally prefer W7 over Vista. Everyone has their own opinion though.

Re: The Lounge
Having used both, W7 makes few upgrades over Vista, mostly in the small UI tweak department. Otherwise, they're pretty much the same. I only upgraded because it was free, and I think it was worth what I payed for it and not a cent more.

Re: The Lounge
Vista/Win7/Win8 are essentially the same OS with some improvements here and there. I didn't have any problems with any of them. Win7 is basically less annoying Vista, the improved taskbar and less needy UAC are the biggest improvements.

Re: The Lounge
Speaking about OSs, is google still going to create their own OS?

Re: The Lounge
Google is making an OS? News to me. If they are, take in mind that making an OS is a lot of work. It took them a while to perfect Chrome, making an entire OS will take a lot longer.

Re: The Lounge
Yeah, I remember reading news about a Google OS, but I never found out more about that.
But damn, Chrome OS.

Re: The Lounge
I use 7, and don't have much of a frame of reference to compare it to anything else new. All I can really say is that I like it a lot more than XP and '98. When I booted up my computer just now it failed, though, and required a system restore, but that caused no noticeable reversions and wasn't that much of a bother, so whatever I guess.
Also, the twenty first century is an eighth over, which is a bit interesting to consider, I think.

Re: The Lounge
http://www.modulaatio.com/runningwithrifles/I'm having a bunch of fun with this. My only main concern right now is the lack of a campaign, but fun single player skirmishes easily fill that void. For now.
