Re: Sprite Help Thread
Just a simple question, my mod seems to not want to load since I changed the module icon, is there anything wrong with it? It's 23 x 23 px, like the included module icons, in bitmap format and it uses palette colours. In case the problem is with the index code, it is as follows (i've checked its correctly tabbed, posting it here removes them): I assume the problem is with the sprite, which is why im posting here

Re: Sprite Help Thread
Your sprite is either not in palette, or corrupt.
Try making it again on a paletted sprite.

Re: Sprite Help Thread
I used the GIMP swatches from that thread in Mod Making, how should I go about getting them to work properly?
Edit - I also tried converting it into the Cortex Command palette but to the same effect unfortunately

Re: Sprite Help Thread
Which version of GIMP are you using? 2.8 seems to have a problem with saving indexed/paletted sprites because of the changes to saving/loading, so that might be the issue. If you can, use an earlier build - I know 2.6 works for it, not sure about 2.7.

I have the exact same problem, so I did what you said: I found a 2.6 version of the GIMP somewhere, converted my sprites to indexed images using the GIMP palettes that were uploaded in this topic on this forum, but it still doesn't display properly, although they do now load. The sprites are 'inverted', the actual sprite is transparent, and the part that was designed to be transparent looks, well, just look at the attachments please, okay? The code of the gun itself has not been altered, save for altering the sprite path as so to get my sprite to look like how I want it to look like for now. Attachments (listed in order): - The intended sprite (intended look) - The icon in the buying screen (garbled) - The weapon as held by an Imperatus combat robot (garbled) Thanks in advance. Please help. Have been stuck here for a long time, I just finished Python and I really want to be able to practise my knowledge in Lua after a few hours of studying it.

Re: Sprite Help Thread
Hi I'm new to CC and decided to try a bit of modding but I'm having trouble figuring out whats wrong with my sprites because they either become discolored or glitch out when facing left. I'd post the image but photobuckets spam cannon is preventing that from happening. I tried using mspaint and paint.net as well as using the CC pallet but for some reason this isn't working for me. If someone knows why please help me fix this.

Not sure if it's still relevant but this was the palette when I use to hang out around here: Cool to see this thread still going.

Sorry I missed this so long, but... if I had to guess it looks like you didn't uncheck "Remove unused colors from colormap" when converting to Indexed.

Re: Sprite Help Thread
It looks fine, except that the forehead looks a bit bulbous.
Is that by any chance for Gotcha!'s replacement dummy actors?

More contrast Highlighting, also your outline is a little too dark (For someone who told me how to use outline). And the rest looks awesome. Good job, Contrary.

Double. I stole Lizard's floaty effects for the sake of concept.
