It's the ambiance of the game. It's impossible to explain without playing it. Same with most horror games.

Yes.

Again, subtlety. I don't get scared if I know something is going to happen eventually. Therefore, games don't scare me, because I know that the game is trying to scare me.

Yes.

Again, subtlety. I don't get scared if I know something is going to happen eventually. Therefore, games don't scare me, because I know that the game is trying to scare me.

You must have no excitement in your life. lol

Excitement is not caused only by cheap scares. It can come from action packed movie's, waiting for something or someone you love and other things.

I just merely find horror in it's present state boring. If someone broke into my house with a knife and threatened me, then yeah, I would be scared still, because that was something I did not expect to happen.

If I was expecting something like that to happen though, then yeah, I'd probably still be scared because he has a ♥♥♥♥ knife and can actually hurt me.

If I was absolutely certain something like that was going to happen, I'd tell him to take a seat on the couch while the guy with the gun makes his demands.
