There is a lua variable named "IgnoresTeamHits". Look for it on the lua AI and set it to false. Where can I find the lua AI?

Re: Stuff CC needs
Aliens.
I was thinking about it, and the faction that right now for me looks like could definately get some sort of alien, are the Imperatus.
Mainly because Techion should get all the robots and tech things.
Now, if the Imperatus are the analogy of ogres, they should have some sort of large humanoid. Like, the size of the old Coalition Heavy Brainbot. But it should be an alien, not a robot. We've already got many robots.

I thought there was some alien presence in relation to the techion anyway?

Quote: The Techion were formed by a small group of elite corporations focusing on high-tech research and manyfacture. They are sometimes employed and trusted by the TradeStars to do guard and escort duty. Corporations dominate the OSA. Not necessarily human owned or human run corporations, remember.

Re: Stuff CC needs
completely AI and hivemind based factions would be awesome
the thing that would be different about these factions is that any units left behind after the hivemind or core AI gets destroyed would act interdependently, creating a nuisance for invading players who'd prefer to just dig to the core of the base.
i mean it does that now but they're planning on taking it out IIRC. also clones wouldn't be able to function without the brain?
maybe you could do the former to the ronin too, considering they're actual people who rent their bodies.

Re: Stuff CC needs
So many factions focus on robots (Techions, Dummies, Imperatus).
We need more meat bags. Be it alien or human, we need more squishy meat bags.
EDIT: Mostly need more aliens, actually.

I vote aliens because I feel humans are adequately represented.

These three comments sum up almost everything that content wise should be added. There are just too many robots and almost no variaton for biological beings, so there should be huge aliens, genetically modified humans, some sort of space beast, you know.

Re: Stuff CC needs
i care for blowing humans and such to bits thank you very much. aliens not so much unless they were pretty human-like. AND NONE OF THIS PURPLE BLOOD bull♥♥♥♥, RED BLOOD GOD DAMN IT. i also hate blowing robots to bits though and they seem to be adequetly represented as well. so we have 3 robot factions and 2 human ones. i'd like to see a merc faction. you aren't actually controlling them you're just sending messages ordering them what to do. it would make no difference in gameplay, just fluff. they'd basically be like the coalition combined with ronin. they'd be well equipped but not that organized. possible armor, torso, leg, head and arm variations as well to make them seem more like you're hiring lone guns to do your dirty work. same thing we've been sayin about the ronin with having one actor but multiple variations that come out. there'd be only like two or three merc actors selectable (light, medium and heavy variations of mercenaries) but you'd get a completely different guy each time because all of the variation. i guess have like a bunch of different of heads, legs, arms, torsos and various plates of armor: and each time you buy one of these mercs in any variation (light medium or heavy) it'll choose from that pool of torsos, heads, limbs and armor and spit out a randomized goon. best part about it is you can probably use the coalition code (offsets and all the other ♥♥♥♥ in an actor's .ini) as a really strong base template because they use armor and are humans. most of the work would just be spriting and a lot of that work could also be template based because of it simply being variety. oh man this could work out for all of us. the merc faction could hire aliens. ooo maybe the light guys are armored humans and the medium and heavy guys are like some kind of big badass alien or super soldier clone dude i should like learn how to mod. i bet making a faction like this would be excessively easy if i got to know about a few advanced things.

Re: Stuff CC needs
also CC needs like a bug faction from starship troopers.
the story would be that some mad scientist created these super soldiers and they're basically like the bugs from ST.
they would be almost completely strictly melee and would have no weapons, only actors and craft. but each actor would serve a purpose, like there'd be the warrior melee bug and a little jump-on-and-rape-your-face bug, a bug for shooting down dropships, a dropship bug, maybe a really expensive shooty bug.
this faction would take advantage of the new clipping and friendly fire stuff in b27. the player would have to rely on getting in close with the enemy, possibly even dropping the idea of a shooty bug because players would rely on that to much. the warriors and stuff would be armored but considering the firepower 1-2 nicely equipped enemies, one on one they'd stand the same chance granted the player was good enough at using single bugs to jump and charge their way to a distance to the enemy to tear them to shreds. the warriors would be cheap and rely on swarming or the use of tactics to get in close.

Lrn2mod, make all the stuff in the world on your own.
Don't really see how starshrimp trooper bugs would fit in CC tbh.

Re: Stuff CC needs
A faction that focuses less on AHumans wouldn't go amiss though, however it was done.
