Daman is actually right, but he aimed it in a negative format. Enjoying something that is completely inoffensive and simple in a group is a great way to maintain one, and it's how most groups are founded, be it around an educational class, a game, or a TV show.

So I watched the first episode... I'm not entirely convinced, but I do see something there, I may watch the second if Ket doesn't beat me up too much about it.

Many are of the opinion that the first few eps aren't as good (edit: not per se good, rather not as fun or funny) as many others, so definitely keep watching!

Or rather the first two episodes are different to the rest of the series, being quite a bit more PONY HERO ADVENTURE focused than the others are.

Yeah I really like them myself (I like pretty much all episodes frankly, I think the only ones I liked less were Lesson Zero and Mare-Do-Well), but they might not be as good to start with if you're only willing to watch a few. If you don't mind watching a bunch of them in a row then I'd say just watch it in the regular order.
