I got a problem... when I launch CC I get this error:
RTE Aborted!
Abortion in file ./Managers/PresetMan.cpp, line 162, because:
Failed to find the UnmappedLands.rte Data Module!
The last frame has been dumped to 'abortscreen.bmp'

Any help...?

edit: I got it working, just installed it to my desktop and it worked :P

Mouse movement still feels a little weird, but I'm SO glad the UI/game scales correctly to higher resolutions now. :D

First campaign I start. Pick three AIs to play with.
First mission, decide that a desert ought to be the easiest or the hardest to defend. Both seems like interesting possiblities.

Start mission, AI comes in with a dropship right before I do the same. Try and take out his thruster with my exhaust. Suddenly, another dropship decends from above, and then a rocket. I realize what is happening and try and get away but one of the AIs dropships slams into my top and forces me down to the first AI. The first dropship explodes, both of his thrusters darts towards the stars. One hits my left thruster which instantly explodes. My dropship tumbles in midair as a result. The enemy dropship decends from above as I go belly up, but as a last act of defiance my dropship drags it's exhaust along the body of the enemy dropship, resulting in a glorious explosion. The only thing left is a rocket from the last guy, which gently lands on the massive of pile of exploded dropships.

All within the span of about 5-10 seconds I reckon.

so far I am enjoying the meta game I just wish I could figure out how to add the crobotech to the game :( I hope someone does it soon. I still believe capn'bubs will release a new version someday and since build 27 is out I hope that day is soon.

One strange behavior I'd like to see amended; factions with no bases still only devote a fraction of their budgets to their attacks. Since you get to keep any part of your attack budget that you don't spend, this really doesn't make sense. The practical effect of it is that sometimes, flagging factions will begin assaults without enough money to afford their initial brain dropship, and so they go into negative budget immediately, and can't afford any troops at all.

Is there is a way to get rid of all the dropped guns/tools which accumulate over time, other than just picking them up that is. They become rather heavy on the CPU as time passes.

My god, the AI upgrades, I can actually leave my units on their own without them dying now.

In settings.ini there's a variable called MaxUnheldItems that makes dropped weapons and the like blend into the terrain when there are too many of them. Lowering that may have the results you desire.

Wow, B27 is awesome  .
You guys are kickin' ass and takin' names.
I'm loving the robot units, now that the faction has been fleshed out.
I want to point out that the same insta-kill seam issue Data had with the stairs
has happened to me once so far...trying to get it to occur again for bug reporting.

Excellent work!!!

tfaal - good call re AI budgeting. for 1.0 we are introducing a limited 'brain' resource, which will change how the metagame plays a little. Among other things a player will be forced to sell a brain if he starts a round/day with less than 500oz of gold. The game will end when only one team has any brains left. It will prevent players from going bankrupt in gold like you describe

Really fun so far, though there needs to be a win-scenario for when the enemies go into negative cash with no bases.

But not for Linux. Strokes neckbeard furiously

Not a huge concern, but it is a point, especially when she won't run under Wine, it seems.
