1.0 is coming. After all these years it is happening.
I've been playing CC for 5+ years, and in that time I've paid Data Realms 30 measly euros. Or 20, I don't remember. Anyway, I though it's about time I did something nice for CC, which has given me hundreds of hours of mindless fun.

This is my idea: a bunch of community volunteers we buy a license each and make a viral awareness spreading campaign, offering those keys as prize. Or a variant of that.

If done for the 1.0 release, this would entail it should be guaranteed to be released, so of course Data will have to approve of all this before it's done. If that is not possible, we can do it for B27, or we can do something entirely different that you (or the dev team) come up with and is compatible with Data's plans.

I have no experience with this kind of thing, and that's why I'm posting it here. It's just an idea, let's turn it into something awesome, and let's give Cortex Command the fame and glory it deserves!

sounds fun to release cortex command codes as prizes just the thing is i dont think b27 is the 1.0 release because its still called Test Build 27 i think the game will be in its final state when the "test" part is removed.

I meant start preparing a contest to hand out keys for the 1.0 release, starting the campaign maybe a month before release date.
Or just do it for B27 in case Data doesn't want to do establish an official release date.

Why not send out some invites for "the beta version"? People always love hyping those thing.
