Every so often I see 'new' and 'exe', sometimes adjacent to each other, in a Data Realms Twitter post. I'm assuming this is just progress documentation of work on the program, and not the announcement for a new build that I haven't seen yet.

That's correct. When the Twitter feed mentions a new exe, it means there's been a new development build uploaded to the developers' private server. Often, it just includes small tweaks or bug fixes. When a full new version of the game comes out, there should be a post on the dev log.

For the twitter feed, you can pretty much break up the CC updates into three basic catagories.

AI updates, .exe updates and content updates.

Which can all be filed under a subcategory every now and then; "cutoff updates".

That 140 character limit really puts a damper on things sometimes. ;)
