On completely unrelated news, I'm going to play the zampoña for the Wetripantu. Rather than just celebrating the mapuche new year, we are going to celebrate all the aborigin tribes from my country, that's why I'll play an aymara song, which sounds incredibly good.

For a New Years festival held by the indigenous peoples of Chile and Argentina.
Aymara is a another group of people, who apparently have good sounding songs.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say, that was so very incredibly ignorant of you, Miggles.

Miggles, you are on the internet, you can google stuff up. I've been googling up anything that isn't from my culture, which is almost half DRLFF or even more.

And that is the song we are going to play.

I'm very sorry, but when you talk about very foreign things to us casually and expect us to understand, it can get annoying.
It's very clear you're the only Chilean person here. As most of DRL consists of Americans and Europeans - who both have a more similar culture link than America-Chile/Europe-Chile - and can relate better due to this, when you talk about things from your culture we likely will have no clue as to what it is. Though Googling is a fine excuse, I'd still recommend being more clear on what you're talking about.

Also don't write in Spanish because nobody else does. And Google translate tends to be really bad at accurate translation.

I don't mean to be singling you out due to your culture, even if it seems like it, it's only that we don't understand it.
If someone from Japan joined the forums and only started speaking in Japanese, and only about Japanese culture, we would be just as confused.
You don't have to stop embracing your culture, or adapt to ours. It's fine that you're part of it; just know you won't be coherent when you speak about it without proper explanation.

You could have given that explanation in the beggining instead of making me feel like a southamerican lost in an english speaking culture.

If you know what I mean.

I really do apologize for sounding arrogant, culturally inept, racist, etc etc. I legitimately am sorry for coming off as rude. I don't want you to seem excluded at all, because you're a really cool dude.

If you do feel sorry, listen to the song.

And anyway, I didn't feel offended at all, people just didn't like that commentary. So you can considerate yourself as forgiven from the beggining.
