Re: A Dwarf Fortress Succession Game
T'was it I? Or was it one of the dead chaps. Ya know, those murdered in cold blood by the wolverine menace,

It was somebody lively, since it was after the wolverines ceased their terrorising. They were the only happy ones (ecstatic) in a fortress full of depressed dwarves.

Re: A Dwarf Fortress Succession Game
Alright. I guess I'll sign up for the next spot on the fort list. Might revoke this. I'm testing how well I remember the controls for fort mode. I also never learned how to trade, so that might also be a problem.
I guess me and caek are in a relationship. Same with Izen and Tomaster.

Wow. I survived my first year? Woot. I am eager for my turn. I look forward to seeing your layouts for the fortress. I'll be using Mike Mayday's sprite pack for when I play, so expect some pretty screenshots.

Re: A Dwarf Fortress Succession Game
Looks like I won't be able to pick it up today either, since I've got night shift. But I think tomorrow's my day off.

Re: A Dwarf Fortress Succession Game
I'm truly sorry, but I've been getting night shifts pretty much every day and the amount of work has simply been back breaking.

Re: A Dwarf Fortress Succession Game
On my current test of this fortress, only Izen (and the others that were killed by the wolverine) is dead. His leg was broken by a lone goblin arrow before I could go and slay it with a silver axe stolen from a human caravan.
Before this current test, the fortress was invaded by Wereskinks lead by Dreadmaw. They sat around in a room I named 'The Den' when they weren't transformed. In the end, I had slain all the Wereskinks after they killed everyone but me, Izen, and some farmer. Alas, I was bitten by Dreadmaw and went into a coma for five months before goblins attacked and finished everyone off.
Losing is fun.

Someone better Dorf me. Whelp, turns out this is kind of true. Night shifts will be permanent, but I'll have my day off tomorrow.

Yeah I'm on Day Eight of nine myself. I think. I've lost track now.

Put me on the queue, I promise not to steall all the FUN. That said I could also make for a very boring but productive year.
